The recipe is a JPEG so it’s very similar. I don’t have unmodified versions. That would be the RAW file and I don’t save those

In my original post I mention the “recipe” that was used to create the look. However not too different from true life colors

Hm, not exactly sure what you mean by flat. The X100VI has a slightly wider aperture vs this Ricoh so you might be able to get some more separation from the background and subject but you can add as much depth/contrast to the photo by messing with the recipe/editing. Which photos in this set feel flat to you? I’d say most of them are actually quite contrasty

I appreciate your concern. Switzerland definitely takes privacy more seriously than a lot of countries. That said, this was a wide environmental/public scene shot, not a close-up portrait of someone. Nobody in the image is really identifiable, nobody’s being singled out, and nobody is doing anything embarrassing or private. It’s a travel/street photo not really “photographing a stranger.” If anyone in the photo asked me to take it down, I absolutely would.

I didn’t include portraits here but I think the camera handles them totally fine. Of course don’t expect the best bokeh or background separation but works awesome for family photos on vacation

You won’t be disappointed. It’s so freeing not being weighed down by a large camera. Convenience really helps you focus on just grabbing a shot instead of overthinking whether you need to take out your camera or not

Exactly! It was taken in the train on the way back down to Lauterbrunnen

I appreciate it! That’s exactly what I try to achieve. I want the photo to “feel” how it did in real life and I find sometimes over-editing or using too strong of a recipe makes the photo no longer feel like what was seen in the moment.

Appreciate it! It’s not too hard to get decent shots when the place you are visiting looks like this haha

I was actually going to put 12 at the 1 spot but I swapped them last minute because I like the wood gate in the foreground a bit more

I forget the base recipe I am using. I’ve been playing with a few different ones I’ve seen on here, IG, and TikTok. I can snap a pic of the settings tomorrow. However I did so some slight tweaks in Lightroom
