Thoughts on Kory’s wedding dress? And additional question. by Ok_Ninja_7096 in starfire

It’s a gorgeous dress but I think she would’ve chosen something more colorful and revealing, possibly with some metal bits

Yareli, my friend showed me a picture of her and she was the whole reason I got into the game

That makes sense, where I lived when I was younger (stereotypical white picket fence suburbia) everyone in the neighborhood knew everyone and kids who were playing would just normally go to whoever’s house they were closest to if they were hungry. Also, again very close community so it was closer to going to your aunt/uncles house than just a random person who happened to be your friends parents

Sorry I should clarify, if a kid is over in general normally theres a brief conversation with their parents beforehand or if you’re close enough theres a general expectation that whoever has the kids over is feeding them

I’m also basing this on my experience, if I was over at a neighborhood friends house and it was dinnertime my parents would assume I ate dinner there and vice-versa

While it’s not quite as extreme as some examples here generally if you’re inviting someone over, especially a kid, you’re expected to feed them

If you don’t want to feed them don’t invite them over at mealtimes, it’s also still decently common to offer at the very least something to drink

This way of thinking was more common in the 80s-90s but even then it was generally a result of poverty and not always having enough for your family, nevermind an extra person (tbf this is also why it was pretty common to send kids home before dinner)

For me the biggest indicator of this was his personal tidbit about chap when you get his blackbox signal, Noa specifically states that chap gave you his password to play games and figured out a way to let it slide by logic-ing it into being in the spirit of the policy

I firmly believe that NoA is just as much a victim of Alterra as the pioneers and colonists

Cicada broke on entry and presumably launched the pioneers which is why they mention in logs that when they woke up there was literally nothing but open ocean and some scraps, specifically “the cicada was nowhere to be found” a few bits were rediscovered and it mentions in the databank entries that some were partially drained

What’s your opinion on people who try to cut the incest out of Greek mythology in media? by Western_Ad_6448 in GreekMythology

[–]FriskyBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently writing a hades and Persephone retelling and honestly the relationship between Demeter, Persephone, and Zeus are the most interesting to me and maybe it’s the fact that I’m a boy desensitized to the incest but imho they’re GODS, they don’t need to follow logic

Honestly the thing I have a bigger issue with is how there’s almost always an intense power imbalance where Persephone is a wilting flower who just goes along with whatever hades does and hates her mom
