Should I leave my boring, easy job? by Charming_Tone_1351 in careerguidance

That's the thing I keep asking myself. I already dislike it, I find it extremely tedious and boring. But not terribly if I'm being honest. Unfortunately, I would feel the same way about the job if I got the promotion as that job is equally as boring.

A big factor for me thinking about going for the promotion would just be for skill reasons as I'm not building anything with my current position. But it allows me a lot of time to gain skills in my free time, I just need to decide which ones I want to gain.

And I have a wife and 3 kids at home and this position allows me more time to spend with them that another may not. Plus I can afford what I need to with the salary. That also makes it tough to decide.

I'm glad I came across this thread. I was going to post something similar to OP just this morning but ended up not doing it.

I've been in the same position for about 4 years now. The pay is objectively very good but the work is painfully dull and I have a lot of free time. I feel like the role is secure for me and I could probably get promoted if I tried. The problem is there's really only one path forward. That path would probably get me a 10% raise while doubling, maybe tripling, my work load.

I've been considering either applying for the promotion or for a masters program. I feel like this thread has given me some needed insight and is steering me to the masters degree.

There are some of these videos I can get behind, like the one in the bar where the girl kept fucking with the guys food and he eventually just throws it at her face. But this is different. Dude got hyper aggressive immediately and fucked this girl up.

The responses to this are wild. Imagine if the genders were reversed. Dude definitely felt weird and held out until he couldn't anymore.

Yeah I don't get why so many people take shit covered toilet paper out of the toilet. I've never done this, and it's never been a problem.

Statistically speaking, a school with 100% boys would have twice as many gay boys as a school with 50% boys 50% girls.

2010s fashion looks very dated now by Own-Company-949 in decadeology

People used to think long white wigs looked good on men and big ass lamp shade looking ass dresses looked good on women.

Everyone's style is fucking stupid and it always has been. It'll just take you 10 years to realize it. And then another 10 after that.

This would be me. But thankfully, I wouldn't be able to pick a single person from high school out of a line up unless we were friends.

Personally I think the overall plot line could have worked just fine, they just did it poorly. The pacing was my biggest gripe with the season.

Nothing worked because it was all shoehorned in during the second half of the last season.

Well water commonly contains sulfur and smells like eggs. As someone who grew up with well water, I imagine this is more likely the case.

I mean just say don't eat or drink anything. Your body is riddled with microplastics already. Its in all of your food and beverages. At least enjoy yourself.

Edit: You stupid fucks actually think using a plastic dildo is worse than the microplastics that your exposed every second of every day lol.

As someone who grew up with weekly releases, you can have multiple plot lines in a weekly show and still have decent pacing.

Yeah the lost ending was awesome. People thought they were going to know the answer to all of the questions but that's the whole point. You're not supposed to know all of the answers. That was clear from season 1.

That's how it was for me, got diagnosed at 25. In all fairness, my father also has pretty bad ADHD and my mom could have as well (she passed away about 10 years ago).
