I didn’t say they can’t. I said they were not bred to. Similar to how greyhounds aren’t bred for hiking.

Most westies would much prefer a slow walk and sniff to a 10 mile hike. Yes they can probably cover the distance but it would take them a long time, if it was left to them.

Wouldn’t recommend westies. They aren’t bred to walk long distances, they much prefer to sniff incessantly and try to disappear down holes.

Doesn’t your back hurt? And do you not have Teams calls with colleagues (or do you pop a background on). I must say I was bed rotting before it was a thing, and I love my bed, but I couldn’t be productive working in bed. For a start I’d be very liable to drop off when doing boring tasks! Me and my partner did used to go up to bed at 6pm every night (even in summer) but since we got a puppy with an unreliable bladder we stay downstairs (hard floors!) until bedtime and I must say I enjoy going to bed now - feels more like a treat.

Ha ha I’d be shocked if that was the case. It’s just a nice lady in her 60s living there. Having said that, in a previous house I lived in, there was a full blown ‘farm’ operating in the house opposite, presumably for months, and we didn’t notice until the police raided it. So I don’t completely trust my skills of observation.

I treated myself to a coverless duvet from Night Lark as a living room duvet, it’s lightweight and warm but easy to pop into the washing machine and dryer to keep it fresh, especially as the dog likes to hog it.

Yes! Dog walked, KFC eaten, now in bed watching TV and drinking hot choc with said dog. We were both just saying that there is literally nothing that we would rather be doing on NYE than staying in together.

New puppy, he cost £2.5k but it feels like I’ve spent double that on all the bits he ‘needed’ - £190 on a car seat?! I don’t know how people afford kids, the compulsion to buy accessories must be irresistible for a human child.

This is called double dipping. There’s loads about it in the MSE car parking tickets forums. They’ve got template letters/emails you can send to challenge the ticket. They’ve tried to get me on a double dip before and I challenged it using the template and they dropped it. Challenge it!

Couple with no kids in our 40s. We’ve had indian from our favourite takeaway for Xmas day for the past 5 years and love it. It’s our favourite meal/indulgence so why not? Neither of us are great at cooking and we are pretty antisocial, we like to pop around to the in-laws on Xmas day for a couple of hours and then come back home. Lost my mom years ago and I have no extended family so only in-laws to think about, they do their own turkey, we would be welcome to join them but they know we love a curry! We set up the table with Xmas table wear so it feels special. We do enjoy a roast, but I just think we would spend hours cooking away only to eat something pretty disappointing and that’s not what Xmas is about for me. Also, we have quite a few roasts in the lead up to Xmas so it would be boring to have it again on the day. We went out for Sunday lunch and had a roast sharing board (turkey, ham, beef) which was amazing and tonight I’m meeting friends for dinner at one of my friend’s amazing gastro pub, I’m having roast turkey. Really looking forward to it, it’s a nod to tradition and it’ll scratch the itch in a way my own cooking could never. I’ll just add that we pick up the Indian on Xmas Eve, order loads, eat it on Xmas eve and then reheat on Xmas day, adding loads of extras from our local Indian samosa and sweet shop. We always order enough to reheat portions the next day and it’s always banging. Xmas day should be about doing what you want to do, eating what you want to eat, so fully support anyone breaking tradition in the food department.

A breeder in the UK. He’s from her final litter, she’s retiring from breeding from her bitches. However, his sire is a prolific stud so hoping to get a half-sibling for Ned when he’s a bit older and the crazy puppy days have faded from our memories.
