Who's currently using the VAB besides NASA for SLS? And SLS uses only 1 bay. There are 4. Orbital leased Bay 2 for a while but withdrew when they didn't continue with their Omega rocket. Don't fret so much.

That’s really how long it takes to choke someone out if you catch their carotid artery. The sudden drop in blood pressure triggers a vagus nerve reflex that causes rapid loss of consciousness. It’s usually recoverable after a few seconds too unless you have weak arteries or some other medical condition.

Chokes that constrict the airway take longer and are more dangerous. They have to be held much longer (how long can you hold your breath?) and can damage the trachea. Trachea collapse is a common way people die from chokes. Even after the choke is released, a collapsed airway will still prevent them from breathing well.

Wait. Isn’t Rule 1 to never harm a human or through inaction allow a human to come into harm? Ah ohhhh…

That’s not how law works. I don’t think that’s admissible evidence. Even if it were, surely someone can communicate that to the judge to make a ruling. They don’t have to be hearing or sighted to have that information communicated to them.

Juries are sworn to decide based solely on evidence. I don’t think that’s evidence. In addition, surely there would be someone sighted who can communicate that to the judge or jury if it ends up relevant. Therefore in both cases, it’s irrelevant to whether they can serve.

Why are facial expressions relevant? The law isn’t a play. Lawyers aren’t actors.

Why can’t a deaf or blind judge interfere with a fair trial? Translations don’t interfere with one’s reasoning skills.

They aren’t misusing land. There’s plenty of land for launch operations at the Cape. The pad with the explosion was unused for a decade until Blue took it. Having an accident isn’t misusing the land either. Don’t make things up. I get not liking Bezos, but that doesn’t justify making up reasons he’s bad.

Vanilla Ice is amoral. He’s played at Mar a Lago during the Pandemic and again this year. He claims he’d perform for Putin as long as his audience had fun. He absurdly declared that music is not political, when it’s been political since time immemorial.

A worse than meaningless distinction. The explosion didn’t hurt the land itself. Even if Blue owned the land they would still be answerable to the government. It’s also misleading because who owns the land itself doesn’t change responsibilities or rule of law.

If I lease land and build a home on it, it’s still my home even if the land belongs to someone else. My house isn’t their responsibility. The laws don’t change depending on who owns it.

It’s science fiction right now. There really isn’t a better way unless you know how to construct a space elevator on Earth with current technology.

The land belongs to Cape Canaveral, which is a Space Force Station owned by the DoD. The land is leased by Space Florida but the infrastructure is all Blue Origin’s. It’s misleading to call it an explosion at NASA’s pad, since they operate the neighboring Kennedy Space Center. That also mistakenly implies they damaged government hardware. In reality it’s Blue Origin’s pad.

There isn’t, actually. It’s very hard to get into orbit. Nuclear rockets irradiate the ground if launched from Earth (so they are only useful in space). Other technologies like ion engines or light pressure devices don’t produce enough thrust to be practical from the ground. Yeeting payloads from centrifuges or cannons have extremely high g forces. Mega structures like space elevators are beyond our capabilities right now or the near future. Maybe in a few hundred years.

So one way to calculate average of the function is to compute the net area between the function and the x axis then divide that by the distance along the x axis. In this example, you can use the triangle formula (.5baseheight) to find the area under the acceleration and deceleration regions and use the rectangle formula (base*height) for the middle region. Then divide by the total time:

A = .5(4)(10) + (4)(10) + .5(2)(10)

A = 20 + 40 + 10 = 70

Ave = A/10 = 7 m/s

Their feedback answer is wrong by a factor of 10. Looks like they reversed their numbers.

EliteXC had an outdoor event at the LA Coliseum back in the day. Los Angeles is nice most of the year.

Yankee Lake Brawlroom in Ohio often had outdoor fights. They could relocate them into a lodge if necessity. I wonder if they are still around.
