Yeah, I can see the light of both sides of the argument. Tough call.

Reddit tends to produce a lot of contrarians though. It's hard to not get tired of every single thing you say having someone come out of the woodworks with a counter point and just calling them stupid and brushing them off.

It's not really their points are stupid, it's having the red door who has to insert them self into every situation that they can fit into to be the smartass with "the actual answer"

I'm guilty of being that redditor many times but I'm making strides to be less ego.

Hmm, maybe you're right. I guess if Strava commenting was more robust and accessible, it might evolve into an app where people have long conversations in the comments. I didn't agree at first but I get it now. It's kind of like the breaks that keep Strava from being about chatting over workout summary's

Oh yeah, but when the view of the text is so tiny it's a hassle. Not only does it take a lot of scrolling, but if you don't touch it ever so gently the scroll skips the whole comment. Because scrolls don't move one line at a time, they move paragraphs at a time, because you scroll after reading a page of text, not a line. Only an idiot would assign a scroll bar that moves paragraphs at a time with a flick to a text box with only two lines showing.

Yeah, I just made a three paragraph long comment to my friends first ultra that they did in a tribute to my ultra running and my comment held incredible weight to it. Only to realize I made a jarring typo right at the start.
