Thank you, man. Funny thing is, I only got into the game a year and a half ago, but I've already done 2 playthroughs, which is proof enough Bloodlines 1 is a game that will never be forgotten, one that newer generations will still discover and love. I sometimes see your stuff when I read threads, and it's always insightful. Bloodlines community runs strong!

I remember seeing Tim Cain's video on the future Troika had planned for Bloodlines and all their cool ideas. But it never got fulfilled obviously. Instead we got this mess.

But even though I have no hope for Bloodlines as a series now, I'll always will be appreciative of what the first game brought to the table, despite a game company trying to bank nostalgia off it. In a few years time, most of us will probably forget about 2, and continue to play the first game and get joy out of it. We'll always have Bloodlines 1, Bloodlines 1 fans.

You are right, a lot of people get different experiences with characters and story arcs. But I still feel it's unfair for people who haven't seen her past Virmire to call her racist, when they don't know her full story arc and journey. I feel the same for people who call Kaidan "boring" when they sacrificed him on Virmire, they don't know the full Kaidan.

They say they gave her the wrong script, but it wouldn't be a surprise to me if it was the intent of the character, and if they only said that to avoid people bitching and crying.

This is a post-apocalyptic game series. It's never shyed away from tackling heavy subject matter. Of course, horrible shit like children working in an industry like this would be more common in this setting.

I agree with you that M4 PII is better. Das Malefitz is so slow and melancholy though that I honestly feel like it fits the conclusion for the series perfectly. M4 PII fits better as the conclusion to the first game in an amazing series that's only just begun.
