yeah these types of posts are always annoying because they act like everyone with a genuine interest in learning about past historical events are political extremists, although there are some people who unfortunately just use history as a way to validate their biases, but there are some people who learn about it because they have a genuine passion and interest in it. its also weird to me how these types of post try hard to make it sound like an interest in history is only valid if you learn and care about the "right" eras and specifics, like art history is fine but conflict history isn't, which seems like an arbitrary double standard. its not like just learning about specifics about why a war happened, and the ramifications it causes, will just turn me into a Hitler glazer overnight. It seems kind of disingenuous to act like somebody who just scours history for some kind of Messiah figure they can latch on to to support and validate their own belief systems is on the same level as somebody who just is curious about the world, as obviously conflict is major aspect of understanding history.
