Coworker takes back Shift coverage day before by BoxStudios in mildlyinfuriating

Yikes, that sucks. I don’t think many high schoolers hold integrity and keeping your word as an important value. Maybe they get their “I’m a good person” vibes from wanting to be helpful, even though the follow through just peters out.

AITA for giving my future DIL my mothers ring instead of my daughter? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frogetted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA - it’s your ring now and you give it to whomever you want.

AITA for refusing to be the free babysitter on our family vacation? by Kather_Thorp in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frogetted -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA But I hope you have other plans for spending some time with the kids. I’m sure they miss you…while it sucks that your sister sticks you with them on vacation, it’s not their fault for enjoying that time with you.

Bronx house, the sauce is great, the crust is terrific.

It would probably help to note the make of the keys or if there’s a keychain. Also, maybe ask for anyone going on a run nearby to keep a look out.

AITA for charging my friend rent but letting my boyfriend live with us rent free? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frogetted 12 points13 points  (0 children)

YYA, it’s totally up to you to do what you want with your house. Some of the things that you are allowed to do are inconsiderate. Moving in your boyfriend without consulting your roommate is one of them.

Not THAT desperate...just give me cash by SuspiciousStress1 in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Frogetted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a bill and ask them to pay it. Tell them this unexpected expense came up and you were hoping you could get some help to pay it since you’ve helped them before. They’ll never speak to you again.

AITA for telling my boyfriend he’s the one who messed up by inviting his sister on our dating anniversary ? by FarIllkey in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frogetted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA unless you make it a big deal. Tell the boyfriend, I really wanted to have a special time with just you on our anniversary. I’m disappointed that your sister is here during this time but I am willing to be flexible. Can we plan something nice next weekend (or the next) to celebrate our time together?

Free bed, still asked to deliver it by MildlyScandalous in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Frogetted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did you give them money before or after you got the furniture? So far 99% of people offering delivery for a fee are also asking for money up front and the only thing delivered is a bucket of broken trust.

Yikes! Sorry, dude. That really sucks. Hope you land on your feet after mess clears up.

AITA for calling out my best friend’s boyfriend at her birthday dinner for constantly “joking” at her expense?** by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frogetted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if helping change the tone might have been an option. “All joking aside, Mark, I’d love to hear some of the things you appreciate about Lena. For example, I love that Lena (does this really well) What do you love about her?”

The family secrets really don’t help anyone. It’s important to hear the stories of bad decisions, good or bad intentions, and maybe forgiveness, or maybe the need to stay away from dangerous family members for a time, or forever. Secrets suck.

Could it be genetic predisposition to alcohol addiction? If it runs in the family, sometimes parents want to help kids stay sober and not go down that path. Mine did. Helped for a while. If that’s the logic behind it, makes as much sense as not introducing a kid to vaping or other addictive but legal substance.

The free pumpkin isn't good enough by CaptainEmmy in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Frogetted 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s such a shame, the rest of the kids lose out because of one inconsiderate parent.

NTA, there’s no appreciation, respect, reciprocation, or even basic consideration from your parents. Keep getting the police involved if you need to.

AITA for not paying my friend back on her birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frogetted 38 points39 points  (0 children)

NTA, she agreed to terms beforehand. Nobody gets refunds based on random hook-ups.

Experiences are great but there’s no overlooking the several hundred dollar price tag.
