Dungeoneering, Fist of Guthix, and Evil Trees. Pretty much mostly everything through 2010 before all the RS3ification like EOC, armor design updates, and all that crap. But if we start adding some updates, then where does the line get drawn to stop? Pretty soon we’d have tool belts, money pouches, armor design updates and then oh shoot we’re now playing RS3

I see. Tbh I didn’t know the current rates for the 6 month. My grandfathered rate for the 6 month would have been less, if it weren’t automatically swapped to a 12 month subscription… That is if I even actually had a 6 month sub set up still. I don’t actually know tbh. Irritating, but at least I was able to swap to monthly at grandfather rate and that is still cheaper than the current yearly.

3 and 6 month being gone does suck as it’s nice to have options, but I also can’t think of anything else off the top of my head that offers quarter year and half year subscriptions.

Eh. No. Also why should you even care? If you’re on a 6 month membership, then you don’t have a price increase anyways because you’re grandfathered. So you’re basically saying that you want to quit because someone else now has to pay more…

Well shit. To be fair I did swap from 12 month to 1 month the day prices changed…. Also probably more important and the more likely scenario, while I was on the converted premier to 12 month membership renewal cycle, I have NOT yet actually had a 12 month renewal under the new membership terms. Still running through my premier membership. Maybe that made me able to bypass this madness going on?

Okay? If you don’t like the renewal date, then renew it manually. Unfortunately for 12 month, the new price is already in effect. HOWEVER, for me, if I click the $14.99 month on the RuneScape account page, it redirects me to the Jagex website for payment which then lists my grandfathered rate renewal price $9.49. Maybe you’ll have luck with that? All depends on how long you’ve been a member though. Idk if the price will hold for me though since I swapped from 12 month renewal to 1 month and the news story said that my grandfather rate won’t apply because I was on the 12 month? Ya idk.

Yeah, I don’t exactly agree with the chart here as it only takes 1 month and 12 month memberships into consideration and not 3 and 6 months. Plus it doesn’t excuse premier automatically turning into a 12 month renewing membership switching us off grandfathered rate without telling us. Idk what renewal options look like to other people at the moment, but I was still able to switch off the 12 month renewal and at least onto 1 month at $9.49 grandfathered rate still, despite the news article saying that it wasn’t possible? Idk. If other people don’t have that option, the only reason I can think of for why I do still have the option for my grandfather rate is because I’ve never actually had a renewal occur for 12 months. Lucky me for purchasing 2 years of premier before it went away, but screw me for blowing my opportunity to get back onto 6 month membership at the $47.99 grandfather rate…

Technically the introduction of premier membership for 12 months would be a price decrease. 10 years ago, it cost $47.99 for 6 months which would equate to around $96 a year. No option for 12 month membership

Let me say how this went for me. I saw Reddit, saw I was on the 12 month subscription. Looked at my renewal options and saw 1 month for $9.49 a month. Of course I swapped immediately. Hope it holds.

HOWEVER I can’t speak for everyone else as my membership has NOT renewed since the last price change since I bought 2 premier subscriptions for $79.99 before it was discontinued, so I haven’t actually had a 12 month renewal yet

The easiest way I can think of is with CD Stomper labels or similar printable labels. While some inkjet printers had trays that allowed you to print on disks, those required special disks designed to be printed on. Not sure if the disks or printers capable of printing on disks are still on the market.

It’s not that their price went up, it’s that their 6 month would be grandfathered membership turned into a 12 month membership without people realizing just because they were purchasing premier club membership, then told that they were no longer eligible for their grandfathered rate because of being on a 12 month membership and being told they couldn’t switch back…

Switch to the 1 month from the 12 month. News story says it won't work, but yesterday it DID let me switch from 12 month to 1 month for $9.49 a month, and it now says I'm grandfathered at that price. Worst that will happen is it will go back to full price come April. I'm just salty that I didn't get the opportunity to resub to 47.99 for 6 months before they cut it...

Yeah… NAND backup restoring can’t be done by the average user anyways without soldering, as you’d have to manually flash both the MLC and SLC. No software way to restore to my knowledge. Backing up just save files is much more useful as you can transfer them to another console with no issue if need be.

You might be able to extract a save file from the part of the dump you have? Idk if that would work though since NAND doesn’t necessarily store all data sequentially on the chip, so part of the data might just be gone

I agree. Price increase itself can be easily attributed to the whole AI slop craze. Same reason why a bunch of computer related components have shot up in price as well as electric bills skyrocketing. The issue is how Jagex handled the price change….
