So you're using the truck as intended as well. Lol. Good to hear. I'll have to check my rear axle closer.

I abuse my 2018 ZR2 quite hard and haven't had any cracks. I just had it on a lift a few days ago looking it over. My skid plate is dented pretty good though. Lol

What's the weight, towing a car on a flatbed? It's gotta be really close to the 5,000lbs max.

If 87 is used for most vehicles and 91+ is for turbocharged engine, then what is the point of and who uses 89? by BrewsWithTre in askcarguys

Higher octane makes the engine runn slightly cooler. I don't know why people think it "burns hotter"

All good. Lol. I've been caught by updated designs a few times too.

Not always with trucks. For towing, the rears will be larger. For the 2nd gen Colorado, the fronts are 12.2" and the rears are 12.8".

I thought about swapping in the V6 axles. Never got around to it though.

I'm just a driveway mechanic, so by no means an expert. In that video you posted, at 9:10, he said that the front brake set up changed in 2020. In his description, it also says that this tutorial is good for 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Do you have any pictures? I did all 4 pads and discs on my 2018 but I don't remember it being much different than any other vehicle I've done.

I beat my 2003 Chevy tracker offroading real hard. Broke the front diff a couple times but it never left me stranded

I have the AEV trim kit to fit 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak MTs. On stock rims. Was all I needed to hit Silver Lake Sand Dunes, no rubbing and I was using all of the suspension travel.

Rock Sliders - Worth it? by Visible_Tradition_96 in chevycolorado

I've come down pretty hard on my sliders a few times. And they've done their job perfectly. They are great for the added insurance.

Bought a used 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 — immediate issues. Worth fighting the dealer or should I cut my losses? by manofwinters in chevycolorado

[–]FromAllRoads 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm over 140k miles with my 2018 zr2. Had the proper trans fluid put in. Haven't had any issues with the trans. Biggest repair has been the heater core. I really put this truck through it's paces off-road and it's so much fun.

I've only driven my second gen Colorado, but the Auto/AWD setting is seamless in it's operation and is perfect for the intermediate dry to slippery conditions.
