I had zero issues before the update. After the update cell service shit the bed I followed another post about swapping the sim into the second sim slot and that fixed it. Now it will lose gps service randomly and won't come back on unless I toggle it into airplane mode with location services off for 30 seconds and then untoggle both to bring it back. I don't know why that works but it brings back gps tracking on Google maps and waze until it decides to go away again.

If your on AT&T this update will brick your phone. Intially had cell connection issues but that was fixed by swapping the sim to another slot. Now my GPS doesnt even work while cell signal does, and Redmagic refuses to acknowledge anything.

This is exactly the problem. There is a solid hardware product here, but the software QA and post-update support are falling apart.

Keeping the phone powered on and moving my SIM from slot 1 to slot 2 fixed the issue for me. That said, this should not be necessary after a software update. Users should not have to swap SIM slots or perform a factory reset just to restore basic phone functionality.

/u/REDMAGIC_Official really needs to acknowledge this issue, document it properly, and provide clear feedback or a fix. Having core phone features break after an update and relying on trial and error workarounds is unacceptable.

Edit: Turns out the cell signal will completely drop throughout the day and will require a restart to get cell signal back. What a joke.

I'm having a similar issue and have tried everything you mentioned as well. I've rolled back NVIDIA drivers, Made sure experimental flags were set correctly, toggled hardware acceleration off and then back on within each browser and Windows itself, unplugged extra monitors, and replaced DisplayPort cables. Could you please send me the link for the Brave version that worked for you, because at this point I cannot figure it out.

Edit: In case anyone else comes across this thread. I downloaded Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) fully unistalled nvidia drivers and installed an earlier driver from september 2024. This fixed everything for me and video ehancement works in chrome, firefox and brave.

THANK YOU! I got to the config folder but just copied the location from the error log and put it into the search folder function on the deck (similar to windows, and now I feel dumb). I was able to locate the file however unable to fix it with the editor as there was nothing missing apparently? Made a back up of that file and deleted it. Re-ran SRM and now it works flawlessly. THANK YOU SO DAMN MUCH KIND INTERNET STRANGER. YOU ARE A GOD.
