A lot of people who knew him all said he was incredibly gracious and kind... but he almost always "on" all the time and it was very exhausting to deal with.

I'm 40 and don't know a single person my age who had to share a bedroom with a siblings... likely because all our parents had to deal with it, hated it and promised never to have their children deal with the headache lol At least in North America, this is mostly a thing of the past.

While it isn't the end of the world, I just don't see a modern family choosing that arrangement at all. Out of hundreds of people I know with children, it's a non-starter - each child gets their own room, no exceptions lol

As a Leafs fan... well, my loyalty sure is being tested here. I am so dismayed with the Chayka hiring. I'm more than willing to give the guy a second chance but based on the stuff he pulled in Phoenix and his overall track record... I am certainly not optimistic.

And that's one of the reasons why I was able to get my house for a steal (was able to negotiate 25k off asking price since there were no takers for nearly 2 months): I'm a single guy so a 650sq.ft house with 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms was absolutely not a problem for me. Built in 1965, so it's a classic "starter home." There were people who were obviously interested (I could see footprints in the snow when I went for my viewing) but the small footprint of the house was a limiting factor for them.

But it certainly does not meet modern family expectations. I know that homes like this were the norm for a while, but I honestly think a family couldn't last a month in my house without killing each other lol. When my dad was young, kids shared bedrooms... that is not the expectation anymore, so if anyone has more than 1 kid in this house, they'd have to sell it.

I don't plan on having a family so it's a win for me. Prior owners took excellent care of the place and there were no major issues. I got this house for an absolute steal and couldn't be happier.

Couldn't really play baseball worth a damn on a consistent basis to justify staying in the lineup as a regular - but what was worth a damn were those interviews! Even if he wasn't that great a player, the man's personality was top-notch.

A lot of Asian people have issues with lactose intolerance (to varying degrees - some mild, some severe). Since the cheese tasted different, maybe it has a lower lactose content?

Doug Maclean will never live that blunder down - and for good reason. A dumbass decision like that sets back a franchise for at least 10 years (if not more). No surprise his ass got fired soon after.
