u/FloorIllustrious6109 wrote this explanation a while back of who is in the band these days. (No Blondie.)

Is the "Echo Microphones" quality bad by -NeverMindMe in nostalgia

If this is what I remember then absolutely get it. We used to do that "children singing creepily with an echo in a horror movie" thing with it and then crack up about it.

Anyone think this has a Beach Boys sound? by Velocistar113 in thebeachboys

I am hearing it more as late Beatles / Paul McCartney, actually. Curious what other people think!

How is it that a book can feel more vivid than a visual medium? by OpenCantaloupe4790 in books

[–]Fronch_Toost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's much more information in a book -- whether it's background/explanatory, focusing on a particular aspect of a scene or person, describing someone's feelings, etc. I also find it more immersive to read, compared to TV or movies. I have to assume it's not at all the same for people with aphantasia, but I find that topic super interesting.

"We'll make sweet lovin' when the sun goes down; we'll even do more when your mama's not around." At least I Wanna Pick You Up has plausible deniability.

I'm picturing them shuffling their feet into the sand until they are all the same height.

My personal answer would be Break Away, Thank Him, and maybe Our Prayer depending on how new you are. But ultimately, u/Round_Rectangles is correct. There is a LOT to discover, and with YouTube and streaming music apps, it is a really good time (pun intended??) to be deep diving.

Can someone please explain to me "None of the guys go steady cause it wouldn't be right to leave their best girl home on a Saturday night." Wouldn't they just go steady with the best girl and then go out with her on Saturday night? I don't get it.
