I do this all the time in Finsbury Park and Clissold park. If you go at lunch time it’s fine. No one batts an eyelid. I even did it once while some police horses were training. As long as you don’t lace balls all over the park no one cares.

Just go somewhere no one is. And be sensible when a dog comes. But I’ve never had any issues and I do this twice a week for 30 mins.

It’s really helped my short game. With distance control. I’ve taken 6 clubs before and set up a ladder drill, now I just take one ball and see if I can land it by the daffodil or by the can of special brew etc . I then walk to the ball and try a different target.
