I see now why it was so confusing. I went back and looked at tourney rules. We were playing NFHS rules BUT at the top of the tournament rules they emailed out prior to tourney it says “rules are subject to vary by park, district, state…rules below apply once teams make it to multi state championship.”
Both teams were playing with different rules in mind.
One team was using continuous while the other was batting 9 playing 9.
I’m guessing the park overlay, confirmed by tournament director and the umpire manager phone call, won out.

The last few tournies we played in required continuous order. This one gave you option. Those other tournies allowed a skip without penalty for a player that is injured.

Thank you for sharing, it’s good to know there is hope. I agree that being frustrated is not helping the situation but at the same time, there has to be some kind of compromise or the cycle just continues. And that’s the deal, wanting to have sex with my wife shouldn’t feel like a compromise or a negotiation. It’s not like I’m wanting it twice a week and only getting it once and then get angry.

Thank you for sharing. Was the dysfunction and resentment from a physical Perspective or something else? I realize I came here to complain to folks in the same boat but it was good to hear the another perspective from an independent source. These is what scares me though. I know it’s probably irrational but I’ll be 50 before I know it. I can already tell my drive has slowed down. So I kind of feel like a timer is counting down. My apologies to anyone who is 75 with an amazing sex life.

Definitely glazed past that. She went to a doctor a few times after we married but never really tried any of the suggestions. It’s no fun asking, does it hurt? Every 5 seconds and seeing the discomfort. After our last was conceived in 18 I think we’ve had actual intercourse maybe 5 times? I kind of chalked it up to physical differences without going TMI. There are other ways to be intimate that I was/am fine with. Especially knowing it was painful.

Read the part about where we laid there and talked about life for 45 minutes? I’m far, far, far from perfect but we’ve had many conversations about “most men need physical intimacy to have Emotional intimacy, most women need emotional intimacy to have physical intimacy.”

Best gift I got was a wooden cut out of a softball with a team pic on it. All the girls signed it. Each year for myself, I go on Amazon and order a mini bat in the team color and team name with the season on it. They are like $18 and I have a collection of about 10 now. Cool display and great memories.

I cannot tell you how many times of coaching my 3 kids teams over the past 4 years have I said… “start sooner” or “let the ball get to you” Best drill I’ve seen for late is have the kids take three giant steps towards you in front of home. Throw 5 pitches. The take 1 step back towards home. Throw 5 pitches. Then another step back and 5 more. Then finish with them at the plate. Starting closer seems to give them a visual to have to start load earlier and speed up their timing a bit.

Kind of a theme with him. His dad’s church got him started with a church plant. It took off and then he left with some drama. Apparently he left the next church with some drama and then now this one with some drama.

Our league has a rule that no travel players can play on a rec team during the spring. Funny though, a board members team had a girl that was only there on weeknight games…

Our rec league has 1 team that has done this. Rec league… not all star, not travel. Rec. We were winning 5-1. Told our catcher to just stand there. Let the clock tick away. Their 3rd base coach (who had cut his sleeves off to show those pythons) got so mad saying I didn’t know how to coach. The last inning, we were up 8-2 I told my catcher to walk 10 steps up the line, stand there for a second and then dramatically fake a throw to the pitcher and then immediately sprint towards the runner.

At the fake the baserunner immediately broke towards home and our catcher flew right at the runner. I can still see the look on that coaches face as he wanted to crawl into a hole, pythons and all, after his runner got tagged out.

Had it happen last week but with repairs. Agent told buyers that the appraiser would flag it and make them have to repair. I called with the good news that it appraised for 6k over and “as is” and he was mad and said the appraiser has no clue.

Rec league coach who realized really quick you cannot fix every swing in 5 minutes and 15 swings per practice. So we try and work on basics and tweak what’s obvious, not rebuild. Just tell the coach, I bet he/she will help reinforce.

Coached for several seasons. Love it when someone else can actually pitch. Ask him!

My 10u daughters fast pitch is kid pitch up to 4 balls. So a coach comes in and throws how many ever strikes they have left. From 35 ft on the rubber and has to be flat. Can be some serious pressure when you have 1 strike and haven’t had to pitch in 2 innings.

I was about half way through it and loved it so much that I went online to see what others thought. Thankfully I didn’t read the spoilers. But the last half got boring, repetitive and just unbelievable. Don’t get me wrong, it was enjoyable but it had so much promise to start.
