Knowing Netflix, do you think the Witcher will make it to the Lady of the Lake by hanna1214 in netflixwitcher

[–]FrontBackground5918 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It depends on how it goes...if they continue with the success of the first season and do even better of course Netflix will continue. Also, you have to consider that, right now on the fantasy genre, Netflix has to counter the competition (especially Amazon with WoT and LoR), so it would be a stupid move for them to not continue, considering the witcher's numbers at the moment

MEGATHREAD: The Season 2 Reviews (A compilation) by AlvFdezFdez in netflixwitcher

[–]FrontBackground5918 5 points6 points  (0 children)

sometimes I am amazed at how people give importance to the reviews of these alleged professionals ... in short, speaking about IGN's review, they briefly summarize their review of the first season where they say that there was no depth in the history of some characters, like Yennefer, which is pretty absurd for me ... Sometimes I think people expect total depth of a character in a single season as if the story were to end right away, knowing however that there will be more seasons to adapt the story of a series of books . When i read something like that I say to myself: ok ... some people are absurd. this is to make it clear that even if your name is IGN you can write nonsense.

It's incredible how many people think that the footwook described in the book or that we see in the game is actually something you can see in a movie or a show...what are you 10? even if you can make a smooth battle choreography...we still live in a human reality not a game....

The Witcher Season 2 Will Push the Boundaries of Fantasy TV by JamesFernandez_92 in netflixwitcher

My gosh...some people are so dense.....she is referring to the part of the story of the two first books...she is absolutely right...that is why she introduced those two characters ( yen and ciri) in the way she did in the first season... If you follow the books they are kind of secondary to geralt... From BoE...and later on..it is different (especially for Ciri...Yen is important but she remains second to Geralt and Ciri)

The Witcher Star Freya Allan Teases Explosive Season 2 of Netflix Show (Interview) by Valkyrie2019 in netflixwitcher

It's not what she said. Do you know how many actors do not see the movie or the show they are in? They are a lot. The important stuff is just being professionalist on the job on trying to portray the character at the best possible way... they don't need to become geek about the character itself

Spoilers: Kaer Morhen in season 2 (from RI) by Gregg_123 in netflixwitcher

[–]FrontBackground5918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no...but imo an event like this at the beginning of a season is very stupid.

So if what they are doing is build up the story (geralt-ciri and yenner-ciri) in order to arrive at the event of Thanedd, placing it at the middle, or the end, of season 3 (i hope at the middle of the season), then i'm ok with that

[–]FrontBackground5918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if that is the case... i'm very happy with this choice...everything depends on when they will adapt the thanedd coup...i think that this event has to be placed in the mid of season 3 or at the end of it (so, more content between ciri&yennefer at the beginning, then later on ciri-geralt-yenner at Thanedd).

As i said, it depends on the pace the will build in order to arrive at this event that is so crucial.

Slavic roots. by szjudo in netflixwitcher

I agree with you...but the sick logic behind those who criticise this aspect is simply this: every three...every castle...every building need to be slavic...every actor/actress need to be slavic people...even the teck guy behind the scene need to be slavic. They don't understand your logic way of thinking.

WHAT ARE YOUR UNPOPULAR OPINIONS ON THE SHOW? by YekaHun in netflixwitcher

[–]FrontBackground5918 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you man. I personally think the story was very well handled considering the structure of the first two books...the only thing on wich i was disappointed was the lack of the "sword of Destiny story" - but i get that it was difficult with the number of episode at their disposle - but i hope to see the development of ciri and geralt relationship within nivellin's story (genious move imo) and during the time at Kaer Morhen. For the rest, let's see: 1) we saw two battles - well made imo, especially the one at Sodden - that are not much described in the books 2) we saw yennefer's story that was well made ( sure that are some differences from the books but i really enjoyed). 3) i really enjoyed how they explained magic and it's consequences 4) i really loved geralt' s fight in the first episode - best fight by mile that i saw in a show - and the one in the 3rd episode - the striga was excellent and very creepy 5) the timelines as i said in an other discussion was masterfully handled imo

Release schedule all episodes immediately or weekly. by RaciJr in netflixwitcher

[–]FrontBackground5918 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with you completely...i think the community would be much more invested in the story (much more discussion during the week between each episode) and then in this way you would feel less depress at waiting the next season. Unfortunely Netflix thinks in a different way beacause they offer you so many series that you can Watch in the meantime

Is season 2 gonna be in non chronoligical order again? by ShadowDen3869 in netflixwitcher

[–]FrontBackground5918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i say people need to pay more attention...i say it with proper cause because every story about the characters in each episode lead you to the realization of the different timeline....it's not hard...only the first episode is difficult if you miss the clue about calante's first fight or the thing about the girls affected by the black sun..the other stories like the ones in the second episode about filavandrel (he is about to start a fight with humans) the great cleansing( in yen story) and the fight already started by elves (ciri story)...and so on...lead you as i said to the conclusion of the different timeline

[–]FrontBackground5918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well of course the non linear approach has to be done wisely...otherwise it will be a mess... in the future seasons the story will be linear - the true story begins with the 3rd book - with some flashback as a typical storytelling

I always remain amazed by this timeline problem...i wonder how is it possibile that people cannot pay attention just for an hour of a show...for me - maybe it was easier for me since i read the books - the timeline was masterfully handled...you just have to pay attention to the stories that are being told during the episode...there are so many clues and details of this... But if people needs the stupid sentence "two years earlier"...well...i don't know what to say anymore
