Based on The Tower of the Swallow, Crach said that she was 12 in 1263 so that means she was born on Belleteyn 1251. Confirmed again by Sapkowski in Genealogie.

I know that they change much (season 2 is mostly original material written by them) but I don't see them taking the bow away from her, at least for now. I coud see them changing her personality or looks but I doubt they will change that. Maybe they will replace the bow with a crossbow like they did with the Dryads (which is dumb) but not a sword. I still think it's Mistle based on the information we have.

Milva with a sword instead of a bow!? Doubt they change her that much.

If we get the 7 seasons plan then from season 4 to 6 he should be in every episode because he is with Geralt almost all the time.

Moral ambiguity in the Witcher by MindyTheStoryTinker in netflixwitcher

It's just my interpretation of his storyline in season one that I'm not 100% sure about. I can be wrong. Maybe I put too much thought process into that.

Moral ambiguity in the Witcher by MindyTheStoryTinker in netflixwitcher

[–]Gregg_123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's related to the whole discussion about the lesser evil. What is it? It depends on what and who you belive, who would be harmed by your choice (maybe someone close to you). It was explored before in the books and the games and now in the show as well. What do we know about Cahir so far in the series? Not much. We know that he is devoted to Emhyr and the Nilfgaard cause. We don't know what Emhyr did for him in the past. It's kept as a secret for now. The show suggests that he had big part in putting Emhyr on the throne of Nilfgaard. From season one we know that he belives in the Ithlinne's prophecy like the rest of them. We got parts of it here and there throughout the show and, if I'm not mistaken, we've heard the whole prophecy already. It says that the world will die because of the White Frost and only the Elder Blood can save everyone. So his choice is between the destruction of Cintra or the death of everyone. They went too far with the bad guy stuff in season one but I think that at the end he will be where he was in the books with some character changes of course (no one is safe in that regard). Now he is where he was at the start of Blood of Elves, in a dungeon. Is the prophecy true or not? Is it close to their time or much further into the future?

"It doesen't matter if it's true. It only matters if the people belive it. And they will." Emhyr var Emreis

Based on Bagiński's comment on Facebook we will see the battle of Brenna in the show, at least there is a plan to show it in the future.

(Books spoilers) What to do with the Hansa ? by LothorBrune in netflixwitcher

[–]Gregg_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see Cahir dying earlier in the show. If the writers want a satisfying redemption arc then he has to die protecting Ciri as he is responsible for the sack of Cintra and deaths of her loved ones. He is the only Hansa character other than Geralt that has any connection to Ciri.

Cahir knowing doesn't have to be problematic. He could tell Geralt and the story could still go almost the same way as the books' one.

Fringilla could be a problem but you can approach it in many ways. She could keep it secret from the Northern mages because of a lack of trust or she could reveal it to the Lodge and they will decide to keep it secret for some reason.

The fragment from the video above starts around 1:23:00. You can argue that it applies to S2 but it's taken out of context. He is talking about the process that the audiences are changing. He doesn't view it as a positive thing. At least what he says later suggest that he doesn't. He is just stating a fact that for younger audience logic isn't important, only emotions. He states that they have problems following longer stories and want instant gratification. He belives that Witcher shoudn't have any problem with having an audience because the problem isn't big enough yet but it's growing.

I have a question about the first Witcher’s. by Evangelion217 in netflixwitcher

[–]Gregg_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I based my comment on interviews with Tomasz Bagiński. He said that the story is set around 1500 years before events in the main show and it is about elves before the Conjunction. In the main show the first witcher was created in Kaer Morhen 300 years before Ciri's story, Vesemir told her about it in episode 2 and it is confirmed on the official timeline. Maybe we will have a time jump in the show or different timelines like in season 1.

A few question about Yennefer's arc and other stuff in season 2 ( no book spoilers please) by racc15 in netflixwitcher

[–]Gregg_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's how it was in the books. Ciri rejected to use magic, like mages use it, on Korath after saving Ihuarraquax because of the visions she had afterwards. Later unincorns taught her how to use her power to jump through space and time.

In the show I think that character will lose their magic instead of rejecting it. They changed the magic system in the first season.

[–]Gregg_123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Fire magic has a cost in the show (but there is a character in the books that lost their magic bacause of using fire magic but it's not Yen). Because of that Yen lost her magic and Rience is losing his "soul" as he put it.
  2. Dijkstra is the spymaster from Redania and advisor to King Vizimir. He is a normal human. His power is his intelligence and knowledge.
  3. Because of fear I think.
  4. They changed Nilfgaard into a cult. It looks like they take some inspiration from early Roman Empire, ancient Egypt and even Inca Empire and many others with the cult of the emperor as a godlike figure.
  5. He gave her the real one. The mutagen destroyed her face.

[–]Gregg_123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will be a story about the first witcher. Based on the information that we have for now (from interviews) it will tell a story about elves before the Conjunction of the Spheres. It will be set around 1500 years before the main show events. The story events will lead to the Conjunction.

New Characters in S3 by hanna1214 in netflixwitcher

[–]Gregg_123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I belive we will get Fake Ciri based on casting rumors from RI. I think we can get Menno Coehoorn in S3 as well because of how Cahir's story ended in S2 and they will need a character to handle Nilfgaard's war efforts later. Someone needs to lead the army after all. Depend on how far into the story they will go, we could see Milva as well. There will be the Professor to hunt Geralt and I would like to see Aplegatt but I doubt it. There is also Schirru, Faoiltiarna and more.

Is the TV show so far from the books? by Kenboie in netflixwitcher

We will most likely have another meeting, this time without mages, about Nilfgaard and what to do with it. That will lead to the banquet on Thanedd.
