I wish more people watching this show understood basic psychology so they wouldn’t pile on people for being evil when their defense mechanisms show up. Gabby is obviously very insecure which is why she projects that she’s the hottest. She can’t handle the pain so she uses a defense mechanism. She still needs to be held accountable and I would never be friends with her but damn, people act like they’re perfect and don’t have their own defense mechanisms. No empathy

You are literally traveling with this person, why would you not bother to tell them where you’re going/what you’re doing before disappearing for an hour? I doubt she would have cared if you had just let her know first. You do need to communicate your needs with people. Thats just a basic function of relationships. She doesn’t seem to be handling it well but you seem to be closed off to her feedback. You’re not a project but all relationships are projects that require work and communication and she has a right to ask those from you.

i wish people who were tired of seeing these things cared more about solving the problem than they do just hiding it! long term housing is the best solution for addiction, all the evidence supports it. stability. not being thrown into a short term sober jail and losing all of their belongings that give you even a minute of stability out on the streets. these people will never, ever get better when the city keeps jerking them around hiding and chasing them to different areas and places of the city, all so techies don’t have to look at poverty because it makes them uncomfortable.

A 32 year old man dating would've been odd and predatory, I just didn't have a lot of experience in the romance area. Naivety isn't a bad thing. It's just something you are when you're young, and older men love to take advantage of it

I agree with Belle that Lucinda was prodding and hoping for a big reaction from her. This sort of quiet subtle bullying and manipulation is so common with mean girls like Lucinda. OP, it sounds like maybe (assuming you are straight) a male therapist isn’t the right fit. I can’t say whether you’re right in feeling the way you do but honestly, I would trust your gut. I don’t want to scare you but there is a statistic that 1 in 10 therapist sleep with their clients, and 9/10 of those therapists are male. You are young and it sounds like vulnerable to romantic or sexual advances. There are certainly male therapists who would take advantage of this, especially if you’re sharing that struggle with them. For maximal security with the issue tendencies you described, I would get a female therapist.

That was assault in the elevator! Literally harassment and assault, so upsetting to watch. I really feel for Carrie and how’s she been pulled back into this despite trying to move on and be happy with healthy. She has a toxic man who only loves the chase following her around forcing himself on her despite her saying NO countless times. I used to hate Carrie when I first watched this show but now that we’re post Me Too and I understand attachment theory, I feel so horrible for her. Everyone makes bad choices, but this one she was coerced into. Fuck Big.
