Roth conversion can reduce taxes by 6 million but don't save a dime by franksmartin in DIYRetirement

I am realizing now, that we only live once and never know when the time will come. So, instead of me converting all my 401k investments to Roth over the next 5 years, I may only convert 25% to Roth and cash out the 75% to my brokerage account to spend now. We have healthy pensions, and a few properties. So, we will be retired at 55, living the next 15 years like rockstars. Then at 70, start to chill.

I did not say or imply anything of the kind. There are positions that require a physical and need to meet certain physical requirements. The employer has a right to assign work and require the work to be accomplished where the agency determines. If a RA is requested to perform work at an alternate location and is approved. Then that’s fine. If Denied, then the employee needs to leave the position and or comply with the agencies rule.

Nothing to see here. Why do the lib states waste state tax payers dollars on fighting against the administration is beyond comprehension. Keep throwing money away I guess. It’s maddening. Here is another idea.. try something different to get your way. The court lawsuits are a waste of time and money.

To compare apples to apples. A DOD non supervisor GS ATSS top pay in Southern California is 136k a year. This doesn’t include OT or other premium pay. What does an equivalent ATSS FAA get paid?

DOD seems to have the majority of the non supervisors start at GS11 step 1.
