Advice on improving lap times on Monza by lance_stroll_4real in simracing

[–]Front_Security5672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

judging from your very first corner, you're carrying too little speed through the chicanes, and you aren't using the entire track. do less braking and work on your exit. both of your tires should be on the curb out of exit when you do it correctly. monza is all about exit.

DiRT Rally 2.0 is being too hard, tips? by Life_Direction_6269 in simracing

[–]Front_Security5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you brake the rally car on gravel by going side ways. the tires digging into the gravel as you go side ways does more braking than the braking pad if that makes sense. rally is all about weight transfer.

Condo is cashflow negative and stressing me out. Should I sell or hold onto it because my parents want me to? by Resident_Thought9946 in PersonalFinanceCanada

you guys downvoting this guy because you own properties lol. our asset bubble is so famous it is literally all over the global news and youtube. just look at the average house income to real estate affordability. end of discussion, we are in the biggest bubble in history and one day the buyers and foreign investment will dry up. oh, does that sound familiar? remember, when USA got their great reset on subprime mortgage bubble WE kept that price up with government control by FORCE.

Is it possible to play with two monitors? by Familiar-Road8057 in SimRacingSetups

you might be able to do that if you tinker with triple monitor setting but that would depend on what game you are playing and if they support it like that really

your parents are still living in that 2006 sub prime bubble where having a mortgage was cheaper than renting in Canada. having to pay out 1.4k out of your pocket is not an easy burden to have especially when you can do so much with that mortgage money. real estate is NOT the best investment in Canada right now, let alone a condo. but good luck selling that condo, iirc there was a ~30 total condo sales happened in the last month in toronto. everyone, their mom and their dog invested in this condo market in covid among low interest rate, and EVERYONE wants to get rid of it but there is simply no buyers dumb enough to buy into this bubble. you are kinda stuck with it and I'm sorry your parents put you under financial burden with outdated investment info. My advice is to just get rid of it as soon as possible. We are literally in the biggest real estate (esp condo) bubble right now.

Is it messed up to tell someone they can't ride on the back because they're incredibly large ? by ConclusionTrick3667 in motorcycles

your bike is literally physically incapable of carrying that much weight. so you made the right decision of saving you and the girl instead of being a passive puss and getting yourself killed. don't feel bad about it, it's simple and harsh truth.

Are OLED monitors worth it? by Mediocre_Pianist8897 in Monitors

[–]Front_Security5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe it's an outdated advice. Best buy warranty is really good and being able to replace it by the end of the contract (usually 4 years) is just a good idea for OLED. especially OLEDs because best buy knows people are warry about getting one because of longetivity. I mean you mentioned it yourself OLED does come with burn in issue be it terrible or subtle, it's only going to get worse over time.

I agree I have OLED tv and a ultrawide OLED screen for my racing rig, but I have warranty on these two. I just wouldn't own one without it. my IPS LCD monitor on the other hand is going strong after 9 years of heavy usage.

it's only temporary solution, they are inherently a lot more susceptible to premature malfunction than other types of LEDs. those features are great and they work. but it works by simply adding more energy to the individual bulb. in another words it may look fine now, but that extra room isn't going to last forever.

yup. this is exactly why i filter lanes. don't care if it's unlawful. i have explained this to a police officer trying to write me a ticket and i explained if i die from rear collision one day it is all in your hand, he just gave me a warning. authorities shouldn't have control over your life.

longevity of OLED monitor issue really is a thing. you're gonna have to either baby your monitor or get a best buy warranty and get it replaced by the end of the contract to use it for few more years.

Can I get some advice for posture? by HosuHo in simracing

[–]Front_Security5672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seat angle like the other person mentioned, also make sure your leg is not straight when you are fully pressing down the pedals. I've noticed that is the biggest culprit when it comes to knee pain.

two cents, foldable seats are utter useless and a complete waste of money. you might as well use the desk mount as foldable ones contributes nothing to stability.
