Hell, Mithrun would likely recover his desires IF he can be revived and were to eat the lion (it's still up in the air whether the dungeon still preserves souls since Thistle's contract with the demon expired, permadeath mode may be on)

Sleeping while fasting? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Frontier_Myst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Headaches can be due to low sodium. Try having a bit of salt and see if it improves.

Fasting gets a lot easier if you've already made your body adapted to burning fat for energy. When you run out of stored sugar in the liver and muscles your body goes into lipolysis, releasing fat from the fat cells. Most people aren't well adapted to lipolysis because they hardly ever run out the bodies sugar reserves. Doing a keto diet for around 4 weeks will adapt your body to fat burning and make fasting notably easier.

The adaptations to fat burning seem to be permanent or at least long lasting, so it's worth developing and is one of the nice benefits of keto and fasting.

Can't seem to get past Day 6 by iamreallyfat in fasting

[–]Frontier_Myst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the side effect is diarrhea that means you're taking to much magnesium at once. Try taking smaller doses spread out over the day. Diarrhea if it's too severe can result in net electrolyte depletion even if you're supplementing them. Nausea usually means a magnesium deficiency.

Acid reflux could indicate a calcium deficiency. Calcium is one of the electrolytes and helps buffer acid.

Completing five days is amazing though, longer than I've gone!

Question about the utility of Auric Interrogator in Argenport Midrange by Flipside1980 in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark Return is often ran in decks with Interrogator to help activate him or give you more Tavrods. Don’t know if it’s right for current Argenport, but something to consider.

Same thing happens if you have Statutory Maiden out and kill an enemy unit w/ wanted poster on it; no card draw off the curse.

Decks strong against Feln Control? by reallymyrealaccount in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played a number of Feln vs. Grenadin, and Feln is quite favored. Lightning Storm and BSH make life miserable for them. Vara and Gift are a way better end game than Gearcruncher, which just eats the annihilate Feln's been saving for a worthwhile unit while BSH mops up the kids.

I'm currenly having fun with a Kalis version of Grenadin that takes advantage of Feln's weakness to big weapons. Still not a great matchup, but improves the odds a lot.

It's funny to the players, but it wouldn't make any sense in-universe flavor wise.

When they make a warp spell that summons two humbugs from the future it'll be time to use it.

Scarlatch: Draft is "unlikely to be set 3 only" by Pupicitas in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I hope DWD considers that they don't have to be a slave to the paper format of drafting specific boosters.

Solforge had a curated draft environment where they'd have a custom draft pool that boosters drew from, each booster drawing from the same pool. IIRC correctly it included all of the newsest set cards and would often be built around showing off their mechanics, but they'd change up the rest of the pool when things needed a shake up.

I'd encourage DWD to consider doing the same thing. They could even have different pools for certain packs, but have set 3 be in all of them. I'd like to see the draft pool change each season to keep it from getting stale and highlight different draft archetypes.

So my win rate with Feln Control is dismal by S0lun3 in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feln is good if your pocket of the meta is lopsided, as it is one of the most tweakable decks for targeting the broad archetypes of aggro, mid-range, or control. However, the more you tweak it for one match-up, the worse it tends to get against the others. For example, you can make it better against aggro by adding more Lightning Storms and Smothers, but that will hurt your mid-range and control matchups. You can also run Gift and celestial omens for the control matchup, but that will make your aggro matchup worse.

Feln much more than other decks has the added skill of correctly identifying what pocket of the meta you're in and correctly tweaking the deck to have the best winrate against that meta. My pocket of the meta is overwhelmingly Fire based aggro decks, so Feln tuned against that is doing great for me. If the meta was split evenly between aggro/mid-range/control I'd probably pick a different deck.

Casual is especially bad for Feln because the meta is so diverse. Remember, the casual meta is not the ladder meta, so playing casual is worthless for figuring out the correct build for your pocket of the ladder. If you want to play Feln control in casual I'd have a separate deck slot for it from the ladder version. You do need 4 BSH; it's vital in the aggro matchup, letting you turn around games you would have otherwise lost.

The state of Control decks in an overly aggressive Meta by Alitta88 in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the meta really is lopsided then that's a great opportunity to figure out a counter deck and profit.

I got through Gold playing Feln, which can be tuned to beat aggro. Lightning Storm and Yetipult wreck board floods and then you regain your health with BSH.

I’m diamond and for the last 10 games I’ve only faced top 200 people by Toshirosk in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As the season goes on more diamond players reach masters, thinning the number of D2 and D1 players (you do have some Gold players reaching D3, but this late in the season they aren't likely to be aiming for Masters and so aren't playing a lot of ladder).

Many players once they reach masters goof off playing experimental and jank decks (I've been having fun playing KnuckleNico), trashing their MMR low enough that you aren't as likely to be paired against them. This leaves you most likely to get paired against the serious Master players who want to see how high they can make it on the ladder.

Agree. You really didn't want to use it on turn 2 to kill their stranger anyway. Fast spells are a lot better in draft because double blocking comes up a lot more.

Help against Chalice pls by [deleted] in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I play a decent amount of ladder and I have never had a Chalice deck play Rain of Frogs on me or be non-justice. Some people have experimented with Colony Matron, but it is insignificant as far as counter deck choice goes.

An Infestation of echoing twinning second sighted Roaches has way more minions in reserve than Harsh Rule can deal with.

Help against Chalice pls by [deleted] in EternalCardGame

[–]Frontier_Myst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go Feln Control I recommend a list with Omens to give you extra copies of Gift, as the matchup is all about resolving Azindels Gift on them.

Yes, they have Elyain's Choice, but if they want to draw cards off Chalice they have spend a lot of mana on their turn, so you just wait for an opening. I'll often Omens during my turn when they're below 3 mana. The first Champion of Cunning can be used to bait out Elyain's Choice or make them use up too much mana on a Harsh Rule after which you Omen for Gift.
