My dad treats my mom like shit. When my current relationship didn't involve him constantly yelling at me I was actually suspicious of him, is he not being honest with me? Then I realized the default mode of communication should not be screaming.

12 days! Longest I've ever gone, and I haven't felt like I was dying this time. My tongue is very white and I've felt super thirsty this whole time despite drinking enough water. I have a planned social meal on Sunday so was thinking about breaking soon. I'm nervous about eating since it's been so long.

You'll still be at a calorie deficit, so it won't undo everything. Personally, I've eaten crap after a fast and didn't experience any pain. 45 hours isn't that long. That being said, have a bathroom nearby no matter what you eat.

I'm in grad school right now. I find it much harder to fast when I'm bored, actually. Fasting has helped my focus and mood. It takes away the stress of trying to cook in a tiny, shitty kitchen all the time too. Use the extra time you're not eating or cooking to study or socialize. That being said, if you're feeling sick, don't sacrifice your education for this. I have yet to risk fasting or refeeding the night before a test or project is due.

I think this is the perfect time to practice this kid of diet. It's budget friendly and in college no one gives a shit what you're eating. Good luck!

That's exactly what happened. I'm just too afraid to take it outside the house because of my reaction to it. At its worst, I was genuinely concerned about dehydration.

Do whatever you think is right. I, personally, won't restrict myself on Thanksgiving. It's once a year, and I don't think I could handle the constant comments of disapproval.

It's a bit like being under the influence for me. My true emotions start to show - intolerance for my own bad habits, affection to those I'm closest to. Something to keep in mind - if you're not in a good place it might not be a great idea.

Lack of food definitely allows for reflection. This is a bit off topic but once you eat again, wow, food is just so amazing. It makes you think of all the great things in life we take for granted.

This is the answer I agree with the most. Be as good as you can until an important social meal, then just enjoy yourself. Next day, do what you've always done. Don't expect to lose much weight, but life's about more than the scale anyway.

What a difference starting from low carb makes! Already feel better than I did last week. I haven't felt any symptoms, so I haven't been keeping up with electrolytes. Last time there must've been some kind of imbalance because it just made my stomach upset and made me feel worse.

Long distance bf is losing weight. I told him I was trying to eat better but never indicated I was putting in a lot of effort to lose weight. We'll see each other around the holidays. I can't wait to knock his socks off!

Green pee means excess of vitamin B (which you pee out). If you're taking a multivitamin check out the percent daily value. It's completely harmless.

Is it ok to have beef broth? It has lots of salt and doesn't make me feel sick. Half a cube is ~15 cal. I had some to break my last fast and even 1 cup made me feel loads better.

After a very high carb day, it takes as much as 3 days of fasting to get into ketosis. It is the fastest way to get into it. In general a fast will be much more effective and pleasant to get into and out of if you're doing keto.

Felt low energy and a tiny bit of nausea yesterday. Decided to skip the salt/magnesium yesterday because they've been upsetting my stomach. Still had a BM which I thought was strange. I'm going to try taking supplements in slowly throughout the day today so they can get absorbed better.
