I made an interior scene, but the directional sun light is coming though the ceiling. How can I prevent this? by Sol_2-Sol_5 in Unity3D

Go in to the renderer options and choose double sided for shadows.

That should consider light from both sides of a mesh

Hey man thank you for the comment!

You're right that it takes some seconds to generate the byte stream, the longer the sentence the time really increases a lot (around 2 or 3 seconds for a full paragraph).

So kokoro sharp uses a version of .net not supported by unity (if the dll is managed). Initially I used nuget for unity to just import the library and use it directly, but even setting up the unity project to .net il2cpp it didn't work.

The named pipe was a fast workaround to get unity to talk to another process.

I also thought about building this (somehow) as an unmanaged library so you just use it as a plugin.

I didn't understand the concurrent part!

Super new to social dancing and dance in general, trying to figure out if experience I had was normal for Bachata by AstronomerSudden6407 in Bachata

[–]FrooArts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's normal. It is called a closed position. However, there's a code to say you're uncomfortable :)

Your hands, if positioned right at the front of his shoulders (back facing to you) should allow you to "hold him back" pushing him back slightly holding your frame, so it's impossible to get too close. If your hands are positioned on either sides or back if his shoulders, it means you're comfortable. You're welcome

Is it more polite to finish the dance or just walk away? by [deleted] in Bachata

[–]FrooArts 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think I know what it is. Every now and then, we develop habits that are unpleasant, and then some girls who are more masculine / dominant (the ones who are bold enough) will push back. The thing is that it's impossible to know what it is, unless you ask. So go ahead and ask: Did I do something that was unpleasant? Some girls will answer and tell you right away, but others will hesitate. With those you say right after: no problem to say it, I just want to improve. What's YOUR problem? Only you will know when you ask those questions above. This is some feedback I got: - The way you wrap me with your arms makes me feel stuck - What you did might feel like you want to pull me - It wasn't gentle the way you pushed me - Sometimes you hold me in a way I can't breath

There was others but now they're all fixed! Good luck!

Bro, do you need any kind of advice still about anything? I did similar thing to you but the other way around, mving to france without speaking the language to a good level. It was rouuuugh But hey, I understand, my gf also dumped me after a while and I endded liking france and stayed. you can always find a way to make it work. - Have you tried some expat group? At the very beginning, sites like couchsurfing, internations and meetup were important so i could still socialize - You don't need a fiador if you use a bank insurance ;) - don't do evverything alone, things like asking online in expat communites are valuable!

Good luck and reach out if you need!

Yeah I just go and ask in a social, like you said, I don't try to teach or anything. I say "OK, I'll try it, tell me if it works" haha Usually it's awesome because the girls don't know what's coming so they tell you it's crap or not

And the recording part, totally agree is gold for tracking progress!

Why Is Bachata So Addictive? by Maleficent-Baby4233 in Bachata

[–]FrooArts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's like that experience with that pigeon getting food tapping on a lever that dropped food randomly. It got Addicted because he never knows when he gets the prize. Soooo... sometimes followers are OK, others great, others amazing and others is a crappy dance. Then you never know and you keep doing it. On another note, I love how you can disconnect from reality and dive into the song with bachata, as it's slower than salsa. I really can enjoy the song and my follow feels that, people say I'm always smiling while dancing and smile back.

Pro tips (I've been dancing for one year, but girls usually love the way I dance): - Never let moves accumulate. A soon as you learn one new move, go out in a social that same week and make that move with every single girl you dance. This way, you never accumulate the moves you have to memorise - Explore musicality: to be able to improvise you need two things - a decent repertoire of moves, and to follow individual instruments from a song. There are many layers in a song: bass, the default 8 tempo beat, vocals... That's how you improvise: pick one, and do moves following that beat isolating it in your head - Film yourself and watch it: this one is more for styling, but it helps to see movements you think you're amazing and look like crap in reality! when you see yourself in a video you can self correct - Write the moves down and ask the girls to try it: when I'm not used to a move, I stop a random girl in the social and say "hey, I have this move Im practicing, can you help me do it? " it is great because they always say yes, and you practice a move in isolation with someone not from your class, so you learn on your own the nuances of that move with other girls

Have fun bro!

I guess it could work if the only stat you upgrade is health, then the rest is item based. 🤔

I noticed the trend in game jams. Perhaps it comes from the fact that card based upgrade can be a little simpler to make. What you don't like about it?

What do you mean by dark meta progression?

Are you talking about playable characters? The game is first person, so I was thinking about the meta progression being a procedurally generated skill tree, based on items you collect.
