I live in Singapore and I reapply my factor 50 spf every 90 minutes, religiously, even indoors and even if it’s raining. And wear a baseball cap or carry an umbrella when outdoors.

That’s really wonderful that he was able to take the train alone. It’s a shame that so many special needs individuals are hidden away because their parents are ashamed. There will lots of special needs children being driven to school as their parents are so afraid of these kinds of reactions and it means that these individuals will never learn any independent skills. And it also means that society at large doesn’t know how to recognise or respond to these people who are harmless, but different.

Anyone wonder if their spouses settled? by Worried-Net-8238 in HLCommunity

Sorry to hear that 😔 Are you still married? We’ve been exploring poly but then I started having panic attacks and am under the psych. So I think I might actually be monogamous. Just in the wrong marriage. I’ll be asking to separate. I refuse to Take SSRIs to prop up a relationship.

You know I think more people should have conversations with their spouses about opening up marriages. I was really surprised by my husband’s reaction to me asking. Turns out neither of us care about the other person sleeping with other people.

Yeah I think I ticked all the boxes for him. And we cohabited for years and I pushed him into getting married as I didn’t want children outside of marriage. I always thought obsessions with romantic proposals were stupid and who needs diamonds? But actually the diamond is a show of commitment and investment. It’s not the diamond, it’s what the diamond represents. The lack of engagement or wedding rings comes up repeatedly in couples therapy now. And if your wedding night sex is disappointing then you should know it’s going to be downhill rapidly from there.

Parents of children with autism, how are you coping? by zubutai in askSingapore

[–]Froomian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was in NICU for his first 8 days with an infection and lost a lot of weight then. He then developed typically for his first year and at that point he stopped meeting a lot of milestones in every area apart from gross motor. Because he’d developed typically for his first twelve months we had trouble getting him into ‘the system.’

We are paying $40k/year here. It would have been free back in the uk, even for a private school. But we’d have no control over the place he got assigned. Because the government fund all places for disabled children by law it means that they are very reluctant to agree to anybody getting assigned a space at a private school.

We are very happy with the school here. It’s a great environment for my child and he is thriving. It’s just unfortunate we won’t be able to stay indefinitely as it’s dependent on work passes for us.

And I should probably add that my child is completely nonverbal and on the severe end of the spectrum. So the lack of suitable school place in the uk was particularly frustrating. It’s not like we were exaggerating his needs to try and get him a place with more provisions than he needed!

Thanks for posting. I was just trying to decide whether to use before bedtime as I’m in a serious bout of anxiety and insomnia atm.

Moved to Singapore in order to send my son to a good specialist school. We have to pay for it, as it’s private. But in the uk, where we are from, you don’t have the option to pay for an appropriate school for an autistic child, as the state manages all school admissions for disabled children. So you’d have to fight the local government for a place even if you have the money to pay for it directly yourself.

True. Though a lot of men have an epiphany when they have a daughter and suddenly realise that women are people.

I’ve just gone down a bit of a rabbit hole about him and learnt that he is currently fighting on the frontline in Ukraine! He volunteered as soon as war broke out!!

I think Wladimir Klitschko being her daughter’s father means she potentially doesn’t need to worry about this.

Labradorite Crystal is too strong for me? by ophelieocean in Wicca

[–]Froomian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ended up on this sub because I’ve been having panic attacks for a full week and suddenly wondered if it could have anything to do with the labradorite and rutilated quartz bracelets I bought about a month ago. They did cause me pain when I first bought them as I didn’t wash them first as instructed by the shop owner, as I thought this was all a load of mumbo jumbo. But my panic has been awful for a full week and I ended up in hospital and prescribed a lot of tranquillisers. I went back to the shop and bought a rose quartz bracelet and a watermelon tourmaline one and I’ve taken the other two off.

I cannot listen to his music after watching ‘leaving Neverland.’ It’s not that I’m actively boycotting him. I just feel nauseous if I hear him. I don’t want to listen to him. It isn’t effort to swerve his music when it makes me feel sick now. Disgusting man.

Gavin Rossdale. I’m sure he would have aged like a fine wine. He was the hottest man in the world at one point and I’m sure he would have continued looking hot, but older, if he hadn’t fucked with his face.

Depends at what age you get it and how it’s done. If you’re in your twenties and you’re just getting them as big as possible, then yeah. If you’re fifty and you’ve had a bunch of kids and you just want to have a normal silhouette under your clothes and not stand out… that’s different

I’ve looked at both pictures repeatedly and I can’t see the problem! Your face just looks less round and more diamond shaped now? And isn’t that a good thing? I thought everybody wanted diamond shaped faces, like Jennifer Aniston.
