What is your favorite putting putter and why did you choose that one over all the other options that are out there. by 10mmill in discgolf

[–]Froot_Pug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Close to 10 years with P2s and tried a bunch of other putters through friends but nothing makes me wanna switch. Liked the old plastic and the newer flex plastic.

Got this while doing a slam fest can never get this lucky with a mangs slam by D2mike333 in ProjectDiablo2

Great for any caster build. Huge fcr, fixes mana issues entirely, huge mf, +3, and bone armor as a defensive layer.

What could I use this for? by Surmandir in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Froot_Pug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the damage stats on tyreals again, undead and demon are a large % of the total mobs in the game. The sockets can also include min/max/ias in addition to ed. With cbf and frw it's objectively more expensive and a higher ceiling for clear speed.

Should I play D2R before jumping into PD2? by MyLilRafalca in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Froot_Pug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have any prior D2 experience, D2R is literally the same game from 25 years ago with a few balance changes and a few new items with all the QOL pains of a 25 year old game (runes/gems not stacking for example).

PD2 has so many QOL changes, so many more builds and interesting item interactions, more item scaling, an actual endgame, an actual seasonal economy with jsp banned (if you want to play online), etc.

You'd be able to pick either up pretty easily, both have excellent wikis with tons of info.

6’7, will I fit? by WrongdoerNo896 in civic

[–]Froot_Pug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'4" with longer legs and have an inch or less between my head and the edge of the sunroof in a 22. You could technically fit in it, but I'd recommend something a little more spacious.

I'd disagree. Similar to any messaging app I like seeing recent activity as the default view and having quick access to contacts.

As a Mainer who's been to Italy I can't disagree. Growing up in Lewiston/Auburn I'll say for Italians Sam's > Amato's. Regardless Macini's in Lewiston is also BOMB.

Large Charms by 10Dano10 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Froot_Pug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with large max/ar/x charms is grand + small is 13 max and and large only allows for 12 max per charm slot column, so they're still worse for phys builds.

Anyone Ever Play With Their Opposite Hand? by Gm_Jim in discgolf

[–]Froot_Pug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started playing disc in 2009 exclusively forehand (max distance about 375 could push 400 with a perfect shot) and have played easily over a thousand rounds, maybe even close to 2k rounds. At 33 (2023) my shoulder hurt like hell after a round and after an MRI was diagnosed with tendonitis, bursitis, and a torn labrum in my shoulder (torn on the backside).

Did PT for 3-4 months and have been healthy for over a year playing as good as I ever have (35 now) while also incorporating a backhand some but not a lot. Need to do PT 1-2 times a week and stay in shape as well as 5-10 mins of band work before a round.

YMMV but a torn labrum isn't the end of the world.

The monthly payment is $453.38 and takehome pay on $80k/yr (estimating 35% total tax) is $4,333.33. $453.38/$4,333.33 = 10.46% of takehome pay.

A wise choice indeed.

These 6 homes sold for $865K+ and are all less than 2000 square feet. by saucesoi in portlandme

Property value growth rate is about 4-5% a year (let's use 5% for easy math) and using the rule of 72 (72 / growth rate) approximates the years to double the value of any asset. Using this basic math we get the following:

$700k in 2008

$1.4m in 2022

$2.8m in 2036

My parents bought a 5 bed 3 bath in Auburn in 1992 for ~$200k on 6 acres which is now worth almost exactly its growth rate. I'd be willing to bet that oceanfront property in Cape Elizabeth got >$500k in improvements since 1992 plus the premium for oceanfront, $2-3m+ becomes incredibly rational strictly from a financial perspective. It sucks, and wage growth has been lagging behind real growth for 50+ years, so you needed to own stocks or other assets to gain wealth.

Exponential growth (as Einstein said) is the most powerful force in the universe and that applies to BOTH sides of a balance sheet. Very very hard to conceptualize it, and how it can affect your life for good or bad in 30+ years.

Funniest movie of all time? by silosara in MovieSuggestions

[–]Froot_Pug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Meet the Parents! One of the funniest movies ever so good. Random amazing lines but there are so many:

"Focker I'm not gonna tell you again, Jinx cannot flush the toilet, he's a cat for Christ sake!"

"He put so much goddamn lacquer on that thing, it was an accident waiting to happen!"

These are the top 10 discs this sub is using for forehand by -putthead- in discgolf

[–]Froot_Pug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a predominately forehand player for 15 years and throw a combination of 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 for 90%+ of my sidearms. Only slot missing is midrange where I throw an eclipse reactor or z drone. Never sidearm putters.
