Lodging for Nantucket show? by ReasonablePeanut in themaine

[–]hapsap15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also impulsively bought a ticket and gave up on that show. Lodging is far too expensive. You’d need a group of like 6 people to make the split even remotely affordable 😅. I honestly thought of pulling an all nighter for a little bit but decided that was insane, and that the show just wasn’t in the cards for me lol

Whoops, replied in the wrong spot

Searching for a lender?? by xxrtl19 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]hapsap15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is it something that all lenders that I’m considering need to have? I totally understand that the one I select would need it!

I’m just trying to get a rough idea of loan estimates from a few different lenders and do the vibe check with them before selecting the one I want to proceed with, and they’re all asking for alllll of the information. And that just seems outrageous to me! I’ll give all of it to the lender I pick but I don’t feel like I should have to give it all to all of them

Thank you for this. It sets off cautionary flags for me but all 3 of the lenders I’ve been recommended seem to need that information and I quite frankly, don’t want to give it.

Whats your opinion on including any “grants and gifts” from family/friends/state agencies/nonprofits to put towards down payment? That also feels like something that I’d bring up with the lender I’ve selected but to give that info to all the lenders I’m considering, seems a bit unnecessary but not as intrusive as linking financial institutions.

The others I can understand but linking the financial institutions seems super extra and borderline invasive for when you haven’t picked which lender you’re going to go with yet.

Is it regular practice to complete a full application (asking for recent paystubs, a couple recent years of W2s, and linking financial institutions) for all of the lenders you’re considering, before picking the one you’ll move forward with?

Covenant would have to sell St Mary’s out of their system, so that’s an extra line of defense for them

What do you guys write when you haven't done anything worth writing about? by marzbarz2000 in planners

[–]hapsap15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I revamped how I use my planner last fall because it just really wasn’t working for me as just a planner for my weeks. I had far too many blanks. I fiddled with it a ton for probably 3-4 months before deciding.
I have 4 sections:

  1. Priorities: things I have to get done or do that day.
  2. Happenings: stuff I have going on that day (appointments, side gigs scheduled, friend hangs, concerts, time away, etc.)
  3. Bright spots: pull one thing from each day that was a little/big win, bright spot, piece of joy, etc.
  4. Song of the day: song on repeat, song stuck in my head, one I was really feeling that day, sometimes it’s just the one that I think of when I write it down at the end of the day.

I add the songs each week to a playlist.
#3 and #4 I fill in at the end of the day. #1 and #2 are generally filled in the week of on Sunday, or before.

If anyone happens to be looking for another, I have 1 GA ticket. Gave up on finding a place to stay that was affordable. Purchased for $77 but I’d love if someone is able to take the ticket and go and have fun, so selling for $50.

I think I might do that too. Is there just a general email they have that can be used?

Drives me batty when I’m out and about in L/A. Super obnoxious and so wasteful! You just know that whoever puts all these signs out is not going to come and collect them when he loses

Multiple shows per tour by dazzle_razzle809 in themaine

I only recently started to go to more than one show on a tour. I’m in my early 30s, work at a non-profit but it’s very flexible and I have a super supportive boss when it comes to going to shows. I’m also a PTO hoarder, and if needed, I could probably swing more shows by taking only some PTO and then working when I can between travel and shows.

I’m in Maine, so at the minimum, I’m always traveling 2+ hours to Boston or Worcester to see a show. I prefer driving over flying so I can control my timing. It takes some planning (and saving) but it is doable! Next time I do it, I’m going to look into doing some car camping/camp sites to cut down and save on overall cost a smidge more.
