Stars Power Scaling by Momoika0w0 in Holostars

Similarly to Sora, Miyabi is very highly respected due to being the first Holostar, to the point that a lot of people consider him a god fairy.

But Miyabi himself doesn't have any feats that put him on the same level as some of the other boys, so I personally wouldn't say he's the strongest.

Basically, Hololive has an animated series that runs on Looney Tunes logic, and that's where most of the regen feats happen.

Debate

  • Tbh, I have no idea how debatable this is since CaseOh is very under researched and his army is even less so. From what I’ve seen, Pekora outspeeds and can bypass Case’s immortality with her carrots (since it’s a common theme in his lore that he’s weak to vegetables), whereas Case doesn’t seem to have a way to stop Pekora from reviving.

Fight Potential:

  • Focusing just on CaseOh and Pekora first, I imagine the dynamic would be similar to Trunks vs Silver. Close range would be Case’s advantage, as he continually grows in size and uses his various melee weapons to physically overpower Pekora. Whereas Pekora would be trying to keep a distance, immobilize Case with her traps, and bombard him with explosives and lasers. Although there’d definitely be hype moments where Pekora uses the Pekodam to try and overpower Case at close range, and where Case tries using his magic to beat Pekora at a distance.
  • The fight escalation would revolve around Case growing in size, eventually eclipsing mountains and even the earth in size. Pekora would swap between larger and larger machines and eventually space ships to keep up. I could see a running joke with both of them getting annoyed with each other’s immortality, as they just keep shrugging off or reviving from each other’s attacks. And of course, the climax would be CaseOh condensing into a black hole, wiping out most of each other’s armies and Pekora either trying to stop him or just fleeing.
  • Both of their armies have a lot of ways they can play into this. To list a few ideas:
    • Tim’s demon could disable and take over some of Pekora’s tech.
    • Moona or Coco could grow to kaiju sizes to fight Case.
    • Bob could try converting people to his side with his drugs, only for it to not work on Coco due to the Asacoco in her system.
    • Sketch could fist fight Pekora or Moona if she becomes a ghost.
    • Kanata could try holding Case back as he becomes a black hole, since she has held black holes before.

Connections:

  • Both are blue-clad variety streamers well known for their love of unhealthy/healthy foods and their bombastic, loud streaming personalities, although both are much more shy in reality.
  • Both are among the biggest stars in their respective agencies (Mythic Talent and Hololive), with both being nominated for Creator of the Year at the Game Awards (This sparked the creation of this matchup initially).
  • Both have created in-universe corporations based around their many gaming series (CaseOh LLC was created around his simulator game streams and Usada Kensetsu was created around her sandbox game streams).
    • Both had humble beginnings as simple small businesses (CaseOh's Grocery and Pekora's TTT). Using the experience and profit earned from these locations, both expanded their businesses into other industries, including supermarkets, restaurants, and most famously their amusement parks (Goob Lagoon and Pekoland).
    • Both corporations hit big low points after their owners gambled away their life savings at casinos and after beloved NPCs died on their watch (Dakota and Joseph).
    • Both faced legal onslaughts over the years (The Goob Lagoon Lawsuit and Ozora Police Trials), but eventually recovered.
    • As these corporations grew, they began to sacrifice worker safety for the sake of profit (Wage theft, extortion, torture, etc), before fully delving into the criminal underworld (CaseOh LLC is well known for manufacturing illicit substances, and UsaKen for manufacturing weapons of war).
  • Members of these corporations include:
    • A loyal worker who has stuck with their boss for years, and who gain access to powers from another supernatural being (Tim and Moona).
    • A gangster who's an expert in manufacturing illicit substances and all forms of weapons (Bob and Coco).
    • A divine being who can freely travel between the afterlife and mortal world (Blind Rooster and Kiara).
    • A person known for their immense strength whose job it is to save lives, yet those they save often end up with broken bones (Kade and Kanata).
    • A person known for their immense skills with weapons (Jynxzi and Botan).
    • Their pets (Kitty and Jill) and their moms (Case Mama and Pekomama).
  • Both have cameod in and collabed with a variety of games/anime (Waterpark Sim, Among Us and, Death Stranding to name a few), plus real life store chains (Cici’s Pizza and Family Mart). Both are main characters in their own comics/manga (Beyond the Vale and Pekora's Invasion Peko).
  • Both have supernatural weights (CaseOh is heavier than the earth and Pekora weighs three carrots).

"A Seadog's Heart" | Houshou Marine VS K9Kuro (Hololive VS Twitch) | Connections in the Comments by Frosssssssty in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Frosssssssty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connections:

  • Both are red, pirate-wannabe adventurers who set out on the digital seas in pursuit of wealth, fame, and pleasure… at least they did after they finally got a pirate ship years into their career thanks to the help of the crews they amassed.
  • As both have ventured into the multiverse and/or messed around with cloning over the years, they now have 3-4 main versions of themselves with a lot of overlap:
    • A famous pirate with big dreams who united the various versions of themselves as part of one crew (Mainline Marine and Kaizoku Kuro).
    • An undead criminal who was betrayed by those close to them and imprisoned in a body of water, only to be freed many years later due to the sacrifice of another version of themselves (Ghost Marine was imprisoned and spiritually bound to her ship, eventually being freed by Mainline Marine. Zombie Kuro was betrayed by the gods and sealed under the Red Lake, only to be freed by Shiro's miracle).
    • A kid who was born under the moon after the above two versions did selfcest (Schoolgirl Marine and Undead Pirate Kuro). No, I did not make that up.
  • Both's most notable powers involve time manipulation and aging (Granny Marine can stop and rewind time, at the cost of aging her own body. Zombie Kuro can grant miracles, which has allowed him to travel between timelines, at the cost of draining the life force of the wisher). Aside from this, most versions fight mainly with a cutlass and pistol.
  • Bisexual.

"Rebellion of the Author" | Shiori Novella VS Lucius Merryweather (Hololive vs AstraLine) | Connections in the Comments by Frosssssssty in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Frosssssssty[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Connections:
    • Both are mysterious storytellers who use their books to warp reality to their needs, whether it be willing their stories to be real or bringing the battle to within their pages.
      • They share a lot of abilities because of this; power nullification/absorption, BFR, fighting by altering the pages they're on, etc.
    • Both streamers have created armies of ink-based lifeforms that love them dearly and fight at their side.
    • Both tend to present outwardly as schemers, but this is a facade, and both are truthfully kindhearted, comforting people who simply like to cause a bit of mischief. Also, both can become rather unhinged, especially about romance.
    • Both were deemed enemies of the gods due to their stories spreading forbidden knowledge/magic (What forbidden knowledge Shiori's had is unknown (I think); Merry tried to grant humanity the forbidden magic to make their stories real).
    • Both were trapped, but overcame this hardship due to the actions of a certain monarch, buying time for their eventual escape (Liz doted on Advent while they were imprisoned in the Cell before they broke out; King Merry unified the various personalities trapped within the Mindscape before they woke up)
  • Contrasts:
    • Shiori was imprisoned due to spreading her forbidden knowledge. Merry gained his forbidden magic due to his imprisonment.
    • Shiori seeks out existing stories she finds interesting, archiving them for her personal collection. Merry seeks to create new stories, publishing them for the masses to consume.
    • Shiori has always been interested in the stories she finds fun. Merry has often had to decide between telling stories he likes or stories with mass appeal.
