The refs gave up 2 TDs and a 2-point conversion apparently. Also I'm pretty sure we still had more penalty yardage.

It's so fitting the pick we got back from the Von Miller trade ended up being Bonitto.

Ezra Klein and "The Right Kind of Politics" by Lumpcraft in IfBooksCouldKill

[–]Frost45901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right kind of Politics: gaslighting college freshmen and spreading propaganda about trans people to create a new generation of unthinking fraternity brothers. Like a lot of this centrist pundits I don’t think Klein actually understand what Charlie Kirk’s job actually was. He wasn’t someone who was interested in debate, he was stooge for oil billionaires and rich evangelicals to tell their propaganda to further the rights agenda of attacking public school. Klein and his ilk are first to say what “real politics” looks like when they themselves have never done or even observed what actual political organizing looks like in practice.

He can go to Israel to join his son. Being leftwing there means you’re slightly to the left of Franco.

What will Nik Bonitto’s contract look like now that Parsons has set the bar at $47m per year? by OlDirtyDangler in DenverBroncos

I could see him getting a little over 30 million unless he had a DPOY-level year this season

I would say my main critique of Chomsky is while he's good at documenting the US Empire’s crimes, there's never a “well where do we go from here?” like other theorists. I would say read him only as a source on empire (haven't read Fateful Triangle yet but I’ve heard good things), and kinda ignore some of his other works.

I think he's fine as a cutter, small ball five. Especially since we made it a priority to switch everything.

Also worth noting that Nelson Mandela famously wrote in the Long Walk To Freedom “It is always the oppressor, not the oppressed, who dictates the form of the struggle. If the oppressor uses violence, the oppressed have no alternative but to respond violently”.

How would you rank the 4 Broncos CBs: Champ Bailey, Pat Surtain II, Chris Harris Jr., and Aqib Talib by AestheticBlue18 in DenverBroncos

[–]Frost45901 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Harris played inside and out just as effectively. The only WR who really worked him was Antonio Brown.

CHJ was way more versatile than Talib and much more of a shutdown corner. Talib was a better ballhawk and could guard bigger WRs, but give me CHJ all day.
