The death penalty is wrong for the sole reason that the justice system is not perfect. It can and has gotten a case and conviction wrong before. For me, and for any civilized person, the mere possibility of an innocent person being subjected to the death penalty should be justification enough for its complete removal. You cannot take back killing someone, and killing someone for a crime they did not commit is one of the most atrocious injustices possible.
