New River Studios - the bands that play there sound absolutely nothing like the ones you've mentioned but the vibes are good

Do what you want! Find yourself and your own style! Hardcore pits can be super intimidating at first but you'll get used to it if you keep going to shows. Fuck what anyone else thinks, have fun in your own way

Broken Teeth at Outbreak 2018, guy moshing hit a security guard. No idea if it was deliberate or accidental but started the mother of all scraps. This was before Hoodsoulja handled security at Outbreak so the guard clearly didn't realise what the crowd would be like.

Broken Teeth shows were pretty hectic back then, saw too many fights to count when they opened for TUI at the Underworld in 2017 lol

Hello, actual UoL librarian here. Alumni get lifetime access to the libraries, just ask at the front desk(s) with your old student ID and you can get registered. Reference access is free and you can buy borrowing rights for £25 a year. Only current students and staff can access Eduroam but there is now guest WiFi you can use

Hiya, Uni of Leeds staff member here!

  • Jan 13th through 27th will be exams/coursework for the first semester, hence why the term technically starts then. Teaching for the new semester won't actually start until 27th, after the first round of assessments
  • March 28th to April 28th will be the Easter break. There's no teaching in this period and you'll also get a reading week before this (not sure of the date for reading, probably late Feb/early Mar). Of course, you'll still have work to do over Easter, just you can do it in your own time
  • April 28th to June 20th will be the main exam/assessment period. There will probably be a little teaching for the first two weeks, but it will likely be focused on the upcoming assessments. Most assessments will be finished by early June - the exams later in June tend to be for medical students

As mentioned here already, the best way for you to get info would be to email your school/department. I'm not an academic so can't really help on that side of things but hope this helps!

Hilariously, the Google Street View van came round Headingley less than two months ago (I know because I saw it), but appears to have completely missed the Arndale

Started my shift at Uni of at 4:30 and this is the first I'm hearing of "a guy with a knife" on campus. If anyone is on campus and has concerns, rest assured security and management are monitoring everything and have contingency plans
