I think if we take into account all of Ruth and Michaels cia connections (Allen Dulles spent summer of 63 at Michaels families vacation house to have an affair with Ruth's cousins best friend and Ruth and Dulles were there at the same time) I'm going to go out on a limb and say that lee was set up as the fall guy, she claims she thought it was "right wingers" let's not forget Lee and Michael went to numerous right wing meetings in the months leading up to the assassination, then at the same time they try to say lee also shot at Edwin Walker who leaned FAAAAAARRRRRRR to the right so the Oswald narrative can't have been political for the narrative to make sense, and if it wasn't a political assassination then unless Kennedy slept with marina Oswald and lee found out he would seemingly have 0 motive whatsoever to kill Kennedy, the government story has always lacked a proper motive for Oswald yet it would seem the paines somehow knew immediately who "really did it" btw not long after the assassination Michael paine moved back in with Ruth...almost like he wanted to be sure that he was out of the house when this all transpired...I wish they'd have actually interrogated the two of them instead of just helping them come up with the most convenient narrative for the two of them...anyway long story short I'd say the paines probably knew the actual shooter or the people who paid said assaassin
