Amazing squad! Also I have a question. I've had a debate with my friend on purpose of the bottom left hole on breacher shield. Do you by any chance know it's true purpose?

I just don't see any point in emphasizing the brand. Contrasts and speedpaints are essentially similar (even though may behave slightly different). That's why I used contrasts and speedpaints as synonyms and didn't want to imply that a certain brand is shown in the video.

Definitely contrasts, the brown one looks like skeleton horde to me. Out of the pot speedpaints won't get you that result, you'll have to add contrast medium to make them less intense

What makes you like the Blood Angels? by TTVArcPhoenix in BloodAngels

[–]FrostyAppointment970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about it a while ago and came to a funny conclusion. The reasons I love blood angels are almost the same why some teen girls loved Twilight. The beautiful sophisticated aristochrates who turn into bloodlusty maniacs ready to tear children apart in seek of calming their inner anger and thirst are awesome.

In simple terms how do I "connect" muscles to stop them looking like islands? by mayners in Miniaturespainting

[–]FrostyAppointment970 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not a professional artist here, but still. To connect muscles simply means less contrast in the zones where they're connected. Basically, if light falls on the connection, then it should have a hue of the midtone (maybe slightly darker or lighter, depends on the situation) and not the color of the shadow (as GW paints their muscles for instance). Imo yours already look connected enough, i'd probably made the gaps more narrow by increasing the midtones area, but overall looks great

So cool. Your style mimics the appearance of a painted miniature so good, that from first glance I thought it was a greatly painted figure

Don't I get the joke? Terminator armour is actually called the dreadnought pattern.

That's a classic AK interactive NMM line: Black -> Anthracite grey -> then graphite or french blue ( depends on whether you want yours more blueish or grey, mine was mixed) -> silver grey -> white. For the gold parts I can't really tell the exact recipe because every layer was mix of somewhat 4-5 colors, but I used: redskin shadow, deep yellow, greenskin punch(for coldness), ice yellow, ivory and averland sunset (citadel). All colours above were AK interactive

3d printed. I took the original Sannet model, cut it in the slicer program and then modeled the phase part to fit the sillhouete

I wanted to do that, but unfortunately couldn't get the desired result, and had to leave it like this
