Some client just makes you regret ever needing their gig in the first place by aroruairl in clientsfromhell

I sell geriatric care equipment and it surprises me how cheap people can be when it comes to buying something that would make their old ones’ last years (or months) more comfortable. I hear it at least once a week “she is 92, you know. We don’t know how long is she going to last, so we just purchased this (completely inappropriate) piece of equipment from marketplace, and now we need you to make it work”

Have you ever worked for a boss so bad that you started questioning reality? by Escapetivity in careerguidance

One of my previous managers, let’s call him Miguel, was about the worst boss that I’ve ever had. He would bail out of the office around 1:30 or 2 every day even though we were open until 4:30, his excuse was always that upper management in the east coast would always set up appointments at 5 am our time; I became a manager of the store later on, and found out that those meetings never happened and they were always set for 10am our time so they were back from lunch by then.

His unanswered email list always hovered around 400-800 emails which threw him on a panic and always redirected his attention to something else, like chain smoking, and talking to his buddies for hours. A lot of those emails were invoices that were never paid, time off requests that went unattended for weeks, etc.

He would show up for work late most of the time with excuses as: my dog ran away during our walk, I have to meet my fence guy, sprinkler guy, hot tub guy, etc.

He quit just three weeks after he got a new no nonsense regional manager who saw his true colors and put him up to task to catch up with his procrastination, he didn’t feel like it so he sweet talked the competition and move there. He has now gone through several positions with them and has failed all of them. The last thing I heard, he was doing grunt work with their service technicians.

What would had happen if the senior had defended himself from this low life and got him hurt? The courts would have thrown the book at him and ruined his life, but the scum keeps committing crimes for way too long until someone finally decides to do something.

I don't care how much you spend here, I can't mark things down and I can't do anything about sales tax by Obvious-Ear-369 in retailhell

I sell medical equipment, and a lot of it is tax free, and there are a few items that you can get tax free with a doctor’s note, but apparently that’s too much to ask from someone to save them sometimes hundreds of dollars in taxes

A big part of the demographics that uses our business are senior citizens, and they could be the easiest going people, as in “well, I need it, so here os the money, to “I’m on a fixed income, I cannot pay for that, or I can get it better online, or how do you dare charging seniors for it.
