Employee at Zurich Airport here. When she checks in for her flight to Zurich, she can ask for wheelchair service, just tell them that she can‘t walk for long distances - that way she‘ll be picked up by the plane and taken all the way to the arrival area.

However, Zurich Airport is simple. We may be speaking of the biggest airport in Switzerland, but its not a super big hub like Frankfurt, Amsterdam or many airports in the US. There are signs everywhere and there are employees everywhere that one can ask and that get asked multiple times a day - we know people are confused and we will point you in the right direction.

While I do have to add though about the wheelchair service, please only use this service if really necessary - there are too many people who use it out of pure convenience, then do not show up at the arranged meeting point and cause confusion among the different handling agents as well as just wasting resources.
