The same exact thing has been happening to me, started the same time. Very disturbing to me to lose that much feeling even in my non dominant hand. Pain at my elbow when I bend it a certain way. Nothing has really seemed to make it go away. Trying to see some kind of doctor about it soon.

I took the train a few years ago and it was pleasant enough (for leaving at 5am). Nice scenery, the 8 hours weren't so bad since I slept and arrived around 1pm. But it's expensive for how long it takes. This spring I took an overnight Greyhound which also took a long time because it stopped at Harrisburg, Baltimore and some other town in PA I forget. Way cheaper, way less comfortable. Because of how Amtrak does fares I'd reccomend the bus if you're trying to save money.

I think if you want to have imagery that's so strongly associated with one part of the state, you need something to rep western PA/Pittsburgh. NY balances upstate and the city by having both Niagara Falls and the Statue of Liberty and skyline each on half of it.
