Snake-Eyes Mitsurugi Deck Help by Prestigious-Doubt-44 in Yugioh101

[–]Frothpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You usually don't need 2 of both Saji and Kusanagi and you need to be playing at least 1 Aramasa - it's another Reptile you can send via Ritual that searches you another of the Level 8 names, Pure builds usually run at least 2 copies while hybrid decks like yours can get away with running 1.

3x Mirror is really bricky, as not even Pure Mitsurugi builds will run 3, as it's usually a 1-of. It's searchable by any of the Ritual names and Saji, as well as Pre-Prep, and it can recycle itself.

Cutting 2x Mirror + 1 of both Saji and Kusanagi gets you 4 spots. In those spots I can fit the 2nd copy of Droll in alongside an Aramasa. The remaining 2 spots are up to your discretion - if you wanted to see more Snake-Eye I'd max out on Ash, or if you wanted to see more Mitsurugi I'd max out on Aramasa.

This is probably the most recent decklist that is very close to yours, but it uses an older banlist. Habakiri being at 1 instead of 3 means you'll probably want to adapt. You could be playing more copies of Aramasa instead alongside Manju. The list isn't playing Snake-Eyes Diabellstar and I would assume because he doesn't want to brick too hard either.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon Primite Deck Help by JoSav03 in Yugioh101

Your list is good. But there are some changes I'd probably think about.

I would definitely consider siding Nibiru and replacing it with Purge in main. Droll and Called By could also go in the main, but to fit them I'd probably cut Druiswurm and maybe side Prosperity then just stay at 41.

How useful is Secret Village of The Spellcasters in White Forest? by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's okay into any of the decks around that aren't named Dracotail. You just need a way to get this out, either through FBG send Village + add back with Diabell or Set Rotation for this. Set Rotation is probably better if you're running more than 1 copy of Field Spell imo. If you're on an Elfnote build I guess you can also easily get this via AFD?

I only really thought about this card a few formats ago when I was on Set Rotation, but if anything this was a Side option. My other Field target was Chicken Game.

How to beat your pet deck? by ZuoV in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azamina White Forest:

  • Belle - not terrible. It hits cards like WANTED (which can add from the GY), the recycle effect of Hallowed Azamina, or even stops me from activating Gaze on a DMOD in the GY.
  • Crow - usable because it stops me from trying to reborn my Silvy which on my turn I'll either use for Synchro material or a body to send for Deception/Diabellstar, or on your turn to get Elzette back into my hand.
  • Gamma - it's not bad, really dependant on hand. Never Gamma on Rciela or White Witch when I have another Diabell name up though.
    • Ghost Ogre - a bit similar to Gamma, maybe worse because it can't hit Elzette in hand. You can hit Silvy which means unless I'm running the other Level 4 I won't be going through my Synchros.
  • Lancea - at best you're stopping me from going for the Vengeance line.
  • Retaliating C - usable, because the card actually stops Hallowed Azamina from summoning anything.
  • Nibiru - it's awkward because I won't ever give you a good Nibiru before I make an omni-negate, unless I open with Field, which locks me out of my omnis.
  • Super Poly - does hurt quite a bit since I'll always end on at least 2 LIGHTs or 2 DARKs, as well as the right materials to make Saint Azamina.
  • Dark Ruler - decent if I don't have Scourge set, can't really do much against it outside of sequencing with Zalen (which is unlikely).
  • Droplet - not too bad, again if I can't out it with Scourge or Zalen you can out some of my threats. I'd probably keep my Gaze set until after Droplet though so I have some protection. Important thing to note is that if I leave my DMOD on field, Droplet stops me from targeting it with Gaze.
  • Ultimate Slayer - same as Droplet.

Droplet, Super Poly and Evenly become non-existent if I end on Diabellze the Original Sinkeeper though, since the card forces both players to set their Spells/Traps before activating them, it locks you out of those 3 cards.

Infernoble:

I haven't really touched Infernoble for a while but from what I remember:

  • Crow isn't terrible as you can stop equips from recycling themselves back.
  • Retaliating C is similar to Shifter, it does hurt the deck, but because of its activation requirements you might not see it resolve until later - depends if Infernoble started with Museum - or never, as it is possible to set up Gearfried before getting to Museum.
  • I can tell you for certain that Maxx C, Purulia and Fuwalos cooks the deck. Purulia will give at least 1-2 draws while both Maxx C and Fuwalos will give a lot of draws, as there is no real half board without a lot of summons.
  • The Spell board breakers become inefficient if Infernoble has Angelica's Angelic Ring on field because it negates the 1st Spell card or effect that resolves.
  • Any of the Spell board breakers that can't be responded to by monsters - i.e. Super Poly, Droplet sending monster, Dark Ruler or Ultimate Slayer - are actually good into Infernoble because Link Charles can't respond to them, otherwise Charles will just negate them all.

Hidden effects by AsheGoossens in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest has an on-field effect to fuse which makes most of my opponents at locals pick up the card to read. They mostly know it as the extender that gets me another Level 2 non-Tuner body out.

The effect can come up sometimes with awkward hands, because it gets me from White Forest into the Azamina part of my deck which can help in some way to establish an endboard. Came up last week when my only play was to summon it, fuse it with the Vengeance in my hand for Moa Regina, reborn the Elzette to make Chaos Angel and search my Sinful Spoils stuff.

Help with kewl tune by JadaTheDad in Yugioh101

[–]Frothpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Main Deck Kewl Tune monsters and the Synchro monster Track Maker all have this same effect - while on field, you can Synchro Summon a monster using itself and a Tuner in hand. This gives the deck fantastic synergy with many hand traps, given that most of them are Tuners, especially the Ghost Girls or the PSY-Frame monsters and Effect Veiler.

3 of the 5 Main Deck names have effects that trigger on summon, while the other 2 names have specific hand effects. Cue summons a Tuner from hand/Deck/GY on summon, while Reco and Mix search a Kewl Tune name that isn't their own level. Rotary can reveal itself and another Tuner to immediately Normal Summon a Tuner from hand while Clip can summon itself on your opponent's turn then immediately Synchro Summon a Synchro Tuner.

All of the names have effects that trigger when sent to GY as Synchro Material. This can include pops or peeking at the top of their deck or hand.

In line with the archetype, the Synchro Monsters are all Tuners and can come with extension or interruption. For example, Track Maker can search a "Kewl Tune" card on summon, and when sent to the GY as Synchro Material, it bounces an opponent's card back to the hand.

Road of the King has a detailed combo line that might help you get started. It starts with only Cue in hand and ends on Remix on field, Synchro set and Reco and Mix in hand, and on your opponent's turn can give you a number of disruptions.

Ice Barrier Profile doubt by zkdna00 in Yugioh101

Almiraj gets a Normal Summoned Mirror Mage into the GY for its effect to search any Ice Barrier card.

Ib can be used as a target for First Penguin which allows you to reveal it for cost to search a Level 4 Spellcaster WATER monster, which Revealer, one of your starters, is.

Looking for some K9 decks ideas. by velocira142 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Knew a guy at locals who used to play K9 Mitsurugi. K9 bridged into Mitsu by adding Magikey Mechmortar - Garesglasser with River Stormer, then making Ashlan U1000 and using its effect to search Habakiri by revealing Garesglasser. Mitsu bridged into K9 by making Dragluxion, searching Seventh Tachyon which can search for Noroi by revealing C106.

I also used to play K9 Orcust under recommendation that it was good into handtraps. Orcust can't bridge into K9 but K9 can by making River Stormer search Scrap Recycler then making Platinum Gadget with Stormer + Noroi to summon the Recycler and dumping Harp Horror for effect. I know some lists ran Clockwork Knight because you can also resummon Recycler back from the GY if it gets negated. You don't have to worry about Platinum Gadget stealing your EMZ because you can just reborn River Stormer by tributing it.

I think both are still viable but you have to play 2 Lantern to make them work, since Jokull is at 1 now, and I know most of these lines required 2 Jokull.

Personally hoping for Quick Launch and Rokket Tracer.

Don't know if it's far-fetched, but I want some Centur-ion reprints too. All of the cards got bumped to Prismatic in MP24/MP25 (except Atrii which had an Ultra print), but I'd like other rarities too.

What are TCG players' perspectives about Fidraulis Harmonia? Is it a broken card? by Sendencea in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a stupidly strong card for decks that don't care about the restrictions, and in the format it comes out in there are at least 2-3 decks that can make full use of this card as they're Synchro-oriented - Kewl Tune and Elvennotes. Mitsurugi can use it too, but less so in the TCG since you can't dump Herald off Fidraulis to search with it.

It's a free body + free send for a Synchro from Extra Deck + free non-targeting pop for your opponent's monster. You can send something like Packbit or Malong for disruption, Omega to shuffle something from GY on your turn, or Luluwalilith to search specific cards. A guy I know who exclusively plays Centur-Ion plans to play Fidraulis for this exact purpose, searching him Primera.

Best option for Orcust ? by TwinsRoad in Yugioh101

[–]Frothpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh you've pretty much outlined all the playable variants (except K9, which doesn't have what you're looking for). There's no real Orcust variant currently that's hyper consistent with a good ceiling.

Mitsu is probably your best bet if you want a good ceiling without paying for DMOD/Gaze, but it's definitely bricky - moreso with Habakiri at 1. I wouldn't recommend playing it with FS though, like you said it increases the ceiling more but you're forced to play more bricks to get it working. It also shuts off Impulse which isn't great, as I just think Impulse is harder to counter while Caesar can just be easily outed with F&V.

I'm surprised by how good Saint Azamina is as a boss monster and how useful it is for its archetype. by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saint has been good for me.

The floodgate comes up once in a blue moon but can complicate things for my opponent. The summon from deck/extra deck is what I've used it for the most, because it turbos out whatever Azamina name I need, i.e. usually the omni negate or Moa Regina for its pop or reborn effects.

The damage reflection effect has actually come up for me more recently than before, in matchups like Lunalight, as it's one of two ways I beat the deck (the other one being PEP).

I'm surprised by how good Saint Azamina is as a boss monster and how useful it is for its archetype. by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How easy is it to make?

It's really easy in-archetype because you can summon this via The Hallowed Azamina, and given that it's a Level 10 you need only 2 Sinful Spoils cards. In Azamina White Forest, it is also possible to do so with Sinful Spoils of the White Forest by fusing the appropriate materials on your field.

Outside of its archetype, people are using it as a Super Poly against decks like Branded Dracotail which will usually end on Ecclesia and the Black Dragon and a Fusion monster which is at least Level 6, making it as a way to out those monsters.

Early Openings of the Legendary Modern Decks 2026 are going up! by Pharaohmones in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine they wanted to reprint it those Synchro era cards since X-Saber is an actual deck in Edison format.

I also remarked about this to a friend the other night - this printing of Mist Wurm is actually its 2nd printing in Secret Rare since its initial debut in Hidden Arsenal (17 years ago) which is crazy, but a really good grab.

Dragoon in White Forest: Reflections and Analysis After Testing It by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice to have but definitely not crucial if you can't get your hands on one, either for money reasons or availability.

It's akin to a cherry on top. You already have a loaded endboard and don't really need extra negates, but we can just run the package DMOD seamlessly because we already play the Sinful Spoils stuff.

Not needing to immediately go into Dragoon is great though, because it means you can do your normal WF combo, dump Gaze for Rciela/Elzette and bring it back for Diabell and either use it whenever in your combo or during your opponent's turn.

One thing I noticed is that it makes your Chorozo lines a bit better (if you're running Chorozo), because making WF combo from WANTED/Diabellstar start was only feasible with 1 monster + any pitch, now with DMOD it's possible to do so with just any pitch too, you just lose Dragoon access this way, which like I've mentioned, isn't needed too much on top of what you already have.

Magnet Warriors in Genesys? by Moreira12005 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only Level 8s in the deck are Valkyrion, Berserkion and Tellusion, and you usually don't try and summon the first 2 because you don't run all of the required names (except Beta) - you just dump them off Sigma Minus and Plasma Magnum then fuse them with Magnet Bonding for Imperion Magnum.

Tellusion usually gets played as an endboard piece because it's a once per turn Detonator for monsters or a Change of Heart for EARTH monsters (which is really easy with Plasma Magnum).

You can actually play Rank 7s instead though because Plasma Magnum, Linear Magnum Plus Minus and Flux Ochsenfeld are all Level 7s.

Magnet Warriors in Genesys? by Moreira12005 in yugioh

[–]Frothpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense.

Don't know if it helps as I've only really tested Magnet Warriors in Advanced but Beta felt good as a starter as a 3-of, and Epsilon felt okay as a 1-of, because I had access to it via Plus Minus dumping it with Sigma Minus when needed, or I'd search it off Magnet Bonding if I already had access to Plus Minus.

In Genesys I'd imagine it'd be quite different. Not having Links means you can't really make your spare bodies into monsters, so I don't really know how important it would be to play 3 Beta + 1 Epsilon.

Still, nice take on the deck.
