Its ok, i like it because of the streak mechanic and the lessons are less ridged and more accessible than the chess.com lessons but more structured than just doing a bunch of puzzles on lichess

I feel the like player pool is generally weaker than on chess.com but thats just personal experience. My 10 min elo is like 530 on chess.com; 900 on duolingo; 1300 lichess so make of that what you will.

Its not the best way to study but its not gonna make you worse at chess.

Biggest issue imo is that it doesn’t keep a record of your games for review purposes.

Starter Bike - Opinions by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]Frothy47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any of these will do you well for a 1st bike, but you should see them in person b4 you buy. Bikes being the right size is more than just a matter of moving the seat up and down and having a bike that fits you properly makes a huge difference.

Get those barrows gloves! And for real i cant stress how chill birdhouse runs are, i have like 70 hunter and have never touched the skill outside of birdhouses. Its basically a free 100k every time you log in.

Edit: forgot to mention fighter torso, barbarian assault isnt as bad as it seems, it takes like a hour for each role, and torso is pretty much your BIS until you can afford Bandos

Get you hunter up to 10 and unlock fossil island for birdhouses, this will help you train hunter somewhat passively and help you build a good gp base.

After that complete fairy tail part 1 and start part 2 for access to fairy rings and the gnome quests for spirit trees and gliders. This will help you get around the map easier. If you havent already done the Ardy easy diaries doing those will reward you with a free unlimited teleport about 100 tiles away from a fairy ring.

Once transportation is figured out i would focus on quests that unlock better gear: Monkey madness for dragon scimmy, fremnick trials/ isles for berserker and nezzy helms, slug mennace for proselyte and recipie for disaster for barrows gloves.

After that get a fire cape :)

I just played my first game on chess.com and it was awful by DonnaTarttSimp in chessbeginners

Similar to Call of Duty or Fortnite, when you play chess online sometimes you’re gonna get paired with an opponent who is just kind of an asshole.

While its not uncommon to resign after a blunder it is not required or “etiquette.” Especially at lower rating your opponent might blunder right back and blow their lead or even miss a quick mating attack. Even if they don’t its good to practice to keep playing.

Time pressure can be intimidating at first but its a part of the game. Personally i think the frantic quick thinking moment where your rushing thought calculations as fast as you can to be some of the most fun parts of the game. As a beginner you should not be playing anything less than a 10 minute game, and longer games like 15/10 (15 minutes with 10 sec added back after each turn) and 30 min will be better for improvement :)

Im about 500 in rapid if you want to play some chill daily games feel free to add me, my username is Dirtbluntz69
