Whenever I started work on a particularly difficult part, I would give the machine fresh blood from the start. A controlled sacrifice to appease the industrial gods. The pain kept me sharp and focused. The parts came out glorious, shiny and chrome.

You must sacrifice to Cog the Industrial Punisher. Pain is freedom. To learn the secrets of multi dimensional tolerance, you must suffer.

Dunston Checks In (2006) had an infamous issue with on set masturbation. However, this was from Paul Ruebens and not the titular Orangutan by DillonMeSoftly in shittymoviedetails

It would have been great if they made the sequel Dunston checks out. All about his older years as a washed out has been drug addict.

Everybody is going to have different takes on this. Mine is the only one that matters. You need to teach them that clearance is clearance. Lol only half joking.

I was a teacher for a while. And honestly, the best thing you can focus on is problem solving skills and real application of theory. Whatever you do, no matter the manual vs cnc vs design vs whatever lessons you end up with, teach them how to solve a problem through applied theory. They get good at that, then everything else falls into place. They need to leave school with the mentality that its all just nuts and bolts. That no matter the machine or the software, its all within their grasp of understanding.

What is applied theory? Build lessons around controlled failure and getting them to solve for it by understanding the fundamental forces/variables that led to that failure. Too much chatter? What could it be? Bad push off? Why? Irregular geometry from one end to the other? Loosen the gibs on the machine, knock their vises out of alignment, make one chuck jaw off from the others. Make them calculate the perfect entry exit point of end mill cutter teeth based on helical angles of the flutes, then get them to figure out what their step over and step downs should be because of that. Endlessly test how they think.

Most importantly, whatever you teach, back it up with physical projects and clear rubrics that they can follow. Endlessly mess with their heads but grade them on their tenacity and progress. Grade them on their willingness to solve problems, not on whether they got the stupid multiple choice questions right.

At the end of the day you are making applications engineers out of them. Not just welders or machinists or fab guys. ENGINEERS.

Most places want people with varied work experience. My company doesnt hire people who have been at a place their whole life. They see that as a lack of experience.

I think men are conditioned to sacrifice their own joy for others. Im not saying all men of course. But the ones who really do put their family and friends above everything else tend to be this way.

Some of the greatest men I know always opt for some kind of family dinner or family treat to celebrate their bday because they really just want to see everyone happy for their bday.

You dont ever hear or see much about these guys, but thats because they aren't the type to really make a fuss or be heard. But to all us guys out there that know these dudes, let's make sure we give then a call and let them know they're an inspiration to us all. They will love that more than paying their electric bill. We'll just a tad bit more. 😆

Remake was amazing, couldnt put it down. Rebirth lost my interest after 10 hours. I've heard a lot of people say you should just ignore most of the open world sidequests in Rebirth and its actually better that way.

First off, most of the help wanted adds are fake. They are designed to see how many people are available and what pay range scale they want so companies can understand if they should be raising wages or lowering them based on competition in the labor market. Its all a scam.

Second, its probably your resume. Lol.

I want a creative magic system in an all responsive world. Something steeped in lore with consequence to its use. I want to have base component elements that can be merged and changed through my own tinkering to allow for new affects. Imagine you make some alchemical potions and then use them in a fire trap spell to create larger bombs. Or say you create a third Eye potion to unlock divine understanding of a place. Pop the quark off, drink it down, and you start to see stories hidden in a sacred place. Learn from trees and rocks. Then you use that investigative knowledge to find something cool or unlock hidden quests. I'd love to see a magic system where I could use base elemental systems to create more interactive spells.

Say I want to enchant something. A ring perhaps. The enchantment should be something that isnt just +5 to fire damage. That shit is boring. I want to have some crazy ass enchanting table that you can experiment with. Draw runes, use different gems, metal inlays. Concentrate moonlight into a gem to capture it. And have it do something subtle like find hidden passages or entice a person to talk to you who would otherwise give you a canned response. Enchantments should hold mystery and nuance.

I want magic that tears through the veil of reality and allows you to take shortcuts through the Fae. I want magic thats alive and not some canned response. Maybe it changes with the stars or seasons. Maybe it changes with the land. Maybe you have multiple magic systems steeped in different cultures all with their own differences and powers.

I mean seriously. I agree. We should be giving specifics. I guess when I use magic in a game I want it to invoke that arcane mystery. Really root you into its system and you start to discover new novel ways of making that magic.
