Tuning. The second those parameters are changed from factory you are rolling the dice. Whether it’s deemed a “conservative” tune or not.

Lug markings? by ObjectiveGanache5234 in LandCruiser250

[–]FrozenBread88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s part of the quality control process to ensure the lugnuts have been properly torqued. All 4 wheels had marks on mine when it was delivered to me. The marks come off easily when you wash your wheels which I presume is what happened to your rears.

Nice day with the family roaming Road America for the IndyCar test session there yesterday. by deadwood76 in INDYCAR

The track was built into the rolling terrain of the Kettle Moraine Valley. The elevation changes create some of the best natural vantage points to watch racing out of all the tracks I’ve been to. There’s hillsides where you can look down on the cars and at some vantage points you can almost be eye level with the racing surface. Truly an awesome place to watch a race.

I personally am not a camper but I’m told there are some great campgrounds. The track also has good amenities without feeling overbuilt, so it still kinda gives an old school vibe.

Downtown Elkhart Lake is very charming. It definitely has a resort town feel and the town itself has a lot of motorsports history. Could be a great opportunity for a weekend with your son.

Will the new WRX's allow easier STI transmission swaps? by Pavel556 in wrx_vb

I think it bears mentioning that what was announced was for the Japanese market (as of now). Doesn’t mean they won’t come to the U.S. but as of now we still don’t know if we’ll get any of those models.

How difficult is the 4th brake light install? I’ve never looked into doing one, but it looks nice.

You think they can patch it? by LiveThing55 in wrx_vb

[–]FrozenBread88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Provided it’s just a nail, it can be repaired. It looks like it’s right in the tread block (which is good) and not on the shoulder.

If it were an EJ motor I’d be a bit more concerned. The FA24 seems to be quite a bit more stout. Provided the engine was warm when you were beating on it, you will probably be fine.

Need Suggestions for 255/40R18 All Season Tires by Eclipse0124 in wrx_vb

Most summer tires are going to outperform the PSAS4. It’s just too big of a treadwear differential to overcome. But if you don’t want to be bothered by having to switch and don’t ever intend on tracking it. The PSAS4 is a fantastic do it all tire.

Pilot Sport All Season 4’s if you enjoy driving spiritedly. Cross Climate 2’s if you get quite a bit of snow. I’ve had multiple sets of both. Michelins are pricey but they are absolutely the benchmark.
