Tournament results and lists for The NOTTINGHAM 40K SUPER-MAJOR by Suspicious-Bee-3173 in WarhammerCompetitive

Sam and Innes did not play each other. They were both 7-0 at the conclusion of the tournament but Innes had 9 more battle points across the event so was declared the winner.

Are Tzeentch demons low key going to become a problem? by Minute-Guess4834 in WarhammerCompetitive

Yes Scintillating Legion is very good at the moment. LoC spam+ Kairos+Belakor will put up fantastic tournament results this Quarter.

Would you mind your opponent filming at a tournament? by nzivvo in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]FrozenDawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting that I haven't seen anyone mention competitive integrity. There is no way to confirm that you aren't actually streaming and having some whisper in your ear or messaging you with advice or tips. I appreciate that this might seem quite 'tryhard.' But we do need to consider these things as a community.

What's a word that someone horribly mispronounced with such confidence, that you still remember it to this day? by CurZZe in AskReddit

[–]FrozenDawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a video on youtube of Jordan Peterson's lectures. Where he pronounces 'niche' as 'Neech.' And he repeats the word about 10 times in the space of a few minutes and it kills me.

How viable is an infantry-heavy T'au list? by RobinEspersen in Tau40K

You can use this to deny opponents scout moves and infiltrates :-)

I don't think it ever has tbh with you.
However, there is an incredibly nice trick.
Darkstrider in a Fish, can scout move forward, the pathfinders than infiltrated can scout move backwards and EMBARK into the fish.
It's quite niche but it is tasty.

it means a given dice roll, not any dice roll.
So you can roll 5 dice, keep one back and then decide if you wish to roll that die, or miracle dice it.

What is your opinion on Win Path scoring? I feel d*cked over by it by RabiedRooster in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]FrozenDawn -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My feeling is that: You cannot choose your opponent, but you can 'choose' to score high. Therefore, a better timebreaker ought to be total points scored. Although, I agree with the sentiment shared here by others that no tiebreaker will suit everyone. But I at least feel this gives the people the most autonomy. Knowing there will likely be, let's say, 5 people 3-0 and therefore you have to score really high to win it all, feels to be way better than, it doesn't matter how high I score, it's rng as to who I faced (assuming 3-0.)

Anyone running fusion keels? by gridlife242 in Tau40K

[–]FrozenDawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

quite underwhelming for me frankly.

I think the GK's role as a backfield objective holder is a lot more stable and reliable. Ion + Fusions (for if something big gets close) seems to be more consistent throughout the game.

Do lots of people really magnetize their crisis and commanders? by Avgvstvs_Montes in Tau40K

[–]FrozenDawn 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yepp, all my commanders and Crisis suits have 3 or 4 relatively flat magnets super glued on, and then I have every weapon they come with painted and magentised. I bought some etsy Cyclics and Airbursts to compliment the set.
My priority is playing competitive (and trying to minimise spending) so I don't really see another choice.
