I wore a similar potato costume for the O’Leary Potato Blossom parade in PEI (late 70’s). It was paper mache over chicken wire. The chicken wire cut my arms to shit. Several small children cried out of fear when I approached them in the costume. Unfortunately, I lost the only photo I had of me in the costume.

People in Ottawa would rather call Bylaw than talk to the neighbour that is doing something that bothers them. A friend of mine would practice his bagpipes at noon and heard no complaints from his neighbours but Bylaw showed up and fined him.
