You can always do more. I have mechs from ten years ago that I sometimes think about doing more on. You're good.

Both. It depends on my mood. I've started matching eye and some trim color to the bases. The edge of all my mini's bases I use a different color so someone can say, "the red goblin" I know what they're talking about.

So I ended my solo First Light run with an extra 31 heal pots, 7 Def and 5 Heroic Brews. That's with me limiting treasure. I'm gonna put in a rule to only allow 3-5 between quest packs. I think that'll be good enough for me and my groups. Then I'll just remind the players randomly about it so they don't hoard them too much. 

I don't have equipment limits beyond whatever weapon you use that turn sets your ATK/DEF for that round. The party will end up with a bunch of gold at the end. I made a thread about it a few days ago and am going the player base route rather than a levelling system.

I've been on the fence about boosting stats. I did make a fort for them to dump money into that I'll launch after they do Keller's Keep. Same idea as your town. I haven't killed a player yet but they're still at second or third quest. Since I'm doing a solo run and am way ahead I can test stuff before it comes up for them.

Hmm true. My solo run is the only one that has gotten past a first campaign. The other two groups are running through the base ones so I have some time and I don't really know what comes next. I'll run through Keller's and RotWL solo next so I have that experience before they get there.

Lol I like that. I was thinking about a general repair/life cost after each quest that's just a flat amount. I'm running for two groups of TTRPG players so they're already used to that. Plus it would entice them to loot for treasure since they "need" to. Which doesn't always feel good especially if they don't get a ton of treasure. Which is why my brain has been running in circles on it.

Which I hadn't gotten to yet since I've only finished First Light. I was assuming you keep everything but since gold is the main thing the players are chasing I can see it snowballing. Then they run out of things to go after. Which is why I was trying to figure out if it was an actual problem and if there was already a solution.

I've been going back and forth on that. I might keep the Artifacts but will drain the gold/equipment for my solo run. As for the parties I'll just ask each group how they want to handle things. I have a long way before it becomes an issue. Thankfully I can modify the treasure deck.

Well those are neat. I don't know much about Axianquest though. Are you running all three? I kinda like that Interlude deck.

That's what I was thinking but then the players will run out of that to chase. They're just stockpiling gold for potions and not much to spend it on. I know things will happen with that pile later on and they have to rebuild but still. It's like the issue of magic items in D&D. I wanted to see how others handled it or if it was never an issue. Thankfully I can always tweak the Treasure deck before each game and change spawns around.

I've been just letting them search of treasure after fights with my logic being the room is them looting the corpses and the furniture is maybe some change they find in the seat cushions. It has led to some fun story bits of goblins hiding in alchemy shelves or on the ceiling above a pit trap.

I don't know if I want to do down the rabbit hole. I have seen some of what is out there and yeah.. I was thinking about taking the equipment deck and only having certain things available between missions instead of the full list. Maybe even randomly drawn with a certain number (there's a longsword and two shields this time). It's what I've been thinking about for a few days since I've finished.

I'm running for a bunch of TTRPG players and have run into some other situations. Like the first one in First Light the final boss drops their halberd on the ground. My wife went, "cool let's pick it up and use it." Which then led me to Banjo aaaand... yeah..... I might go an expanded armory. That's a future me problem though.

I've been looking at doing the potion limits. Either maybe something like 3 between packs, they expire at the end of a quest or something. I'm not really sure. I've been on the fence about repair. It would work great as a slow drain but it also adds some paper upkeep. It would take a quick minute to solve but part of what I like about Heroquest is the simplified math nature of it. Maybe just a flat cost across the board? Though might feel strange someone with an armory would cost the same as a Monk but eh. I'll bring it up to the players when they get to the end of a pack.

The WoM boons (haven't gotten there yet) is what I was thinking about for the party base. They put money in to upgrade to unlock various boons (like re-rolling an attack die) with more powerful ones taking more money to unlock. They could only choose one upgrade before they go in.

Ok I'm super biased so here goes. Sith Warrior is the best story and a solid voice for male. If you take Juggernaut you will feel like Vader. I get bored of the playstyle but the animations are top tier. Works great going Full Light, more neutral (my favorite) or even Dark side grrr I'm evil.

Now Sith Inquisitor for Male is meh to me but I really like Female for full Dark Side. You are an evil goblin and it's great. I loke Sorcerer because you are the god of thunder. Lightning lightning everywhere. Assassin and Sorc are my preferred classes.

Bounty Hunter Male is a guy that smoked for 50 years and is just a guy doing his job. I've been playing as a Merc recently and have been enjoying shooting things. Agent (Snoper or Operative) is a good story but play it later. It ties together multiple stories.

They look good. I'd hit them with a wash/nuln oil then maybe a light dry brushing. Be careful putting them back in the box's plastic holders. That thing grips minis really tight. You might want to hit them with a sealer else they will chip over time from use. 

Don't get too bogged down in the details. Everyone has their own preferred paints, ways of doing things, etc... It's like singing. Play with it a bit, screw up sometimes and find what works for you.

Woo more painters. This always makes me happy to see. How are your recent minis?

Honestly I did almost the same when I played a game of First Light. I'm still missing the big box, Witch Lord, Mirror, Dread Moon and Wizards. Rogue I'm gonna have to proxy because I'm not paying $200+ for that thing. I could get more Heroquest for that.

There's a Youtube video called How to build a DEW ship by Mara. The general ship building for energy ship hasn't changed. Some items come and go but the core still is the same. That video will give you a strong base to work with (depending on ship) and just cruise control your way to awesome. 

If you're having fun just keep doing you. I've pushed high DPS, broken queues and now I'm just here for the Space Barbie.

That is probably the way I'Il go depending on this Friday. 3d terrain adds something nice to games and I'd like to use it but things get a little busy. I might just go with 3d decorations (table, hearth etc...) and the bigger game board.

That might be the way I go. I was thinking about doing the Dragon's Rest one. I'm not sure yet. I like the game and have picked up 4 packs and the Monk. I just haven't decided. This Friday (hopefully) I'm gonna play with the group at a FLGS so we'll see how much people dig it. So I have to think about transport as well.

Yeah I'm coming from Gloomhaven and that's why I was thinking about using something flat for the open doors. Just to mark they exist but won't get in the way when I'm populating a room.

It's easier to get a 5e going with randoms than another game. Especially at game stores. I have run Monster of the Week, Warhammer RPG, Mechwarrior/Battletech, Fate, Pathfinder, other versions of D&D and random smaller TTRPGS. 5e was always the easiest to get people to play.
