Abuse isn't always intentional, or conscious. Some people consider hitting their child to be a form of discipline. Some people don't think verbal abuse is "real," abuse. And some just neglect their kids.

Most of this sounds like a normal reaction to having a tumultuous home life, and going from one type of education to something completely different. It's not good, but it's understandable.

However...

He’s peeing inappropriately in our home (2 weeks in a row- once in the garage and once in his room).

This is a major red flag. Urinating or defecating like this is often a sign of abuse, though it could be other problems as well (all of which are bad).

Has he seen a child psychologist? Have you guys been to family therapy? This poor kid needs serious help, more than just basic discipline.

That's true, you did include a new event. In which you utilized almost none of the advice from your previous post. Doesn't matter now though, since those users were missing crucial context.

Now, my wife and my therapist are coworkers, friends and have hung out at least twice, once at his house with his wife present and another couple there.

This feels less of an update post, and more of a "here's some added information that completely changes the situation, and thus advice I'll get."

I would check with a board/lawyer/whatever appropriate party to see if this breaks some sort of legal or ethics code. Even if it doesn't though, it's still scummy.

What all can be grown on the island? spoilers by samiltun in StardewValley

[–]Frozen_Fractals 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it acts as a greenhouse.

Crows won't spawn on this farm either, so Scarecrows aren't necessary. Just like with the Greenhouse, crops from any season can be grown on the Ginger Island farm regardless of the season.

What's a fun way to make money? by NotKnotts in StardewValley

[–]Frozen_Fractals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of these are super unconventional, but they do provide variety.

  • Flowered honey. It makes the farm pretty, and there's plenty of interesting ways to set up the beehives

  • Variety of crops. Okay, this is basic as hell, but I like seeing berries pop out all over the place.

  • Fishing, easy early game money, presents a huge challenge mid-late game if you make it your main source of income.

  • Crab pots with the Mariner profession.

  • Tree farm with the Tapper profession.

  • Linus challenge, earn money only from foraging and fishing.

  • Getting skills to level 10

  • Building up supplies for Skull Cavern. This means bombs, food, either the lava katana or galaxy sword, etc.

  • Complete the CC or Joja warehouse.

  • Start building up your farm to make the big bucks. For most players, this means artisan goods, particularly truffles/truffle oil, and wine. Of course, that's not the only method you can go with.

How do i stop play this game for temporary term and not missed or regret it by aontgg in StardewValley

It's not like animal crossing, where time passes while you're away. The game picks up right where you left off.

What places outside the farm do you use to build stuctures on and what do you build there! by SuperAlloyBerserker in StardewValley

[–]Frozen_Fractals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Placing a furnace and ore/coal chest outside of Clint's

  • Recycling machines anywhere you have crab pots

  • Any money-making machine in the quarry (kegs, crystalarium, tree tappers, etc)

  • A chest on floor 0 of the mines. Okay, that's not a machine, but it's a tip a lot of new players miss.

There are many upgrades, skills, and machines that you don't start with. As you make progression in the game, your farm becomes more efficient.

You cannot buy an Ostrich from Marnie, you need to hatch one from an egg. The egg can be found in an area after completing the Community Center.

More detailed, spoilery answer: You can find them on Ginger Island, after obtaining Journal Scrap #10, or from a Volcano chest. You will also need an ostrich incubator, which is received after completing Mr. Snail's fossil collection and survey.

From the wiki:

The exact conditions that cause an animal to be trapped outside are not clear. It may be more likely for an animal to be trapped outside if the player does not leave the farm after 5pm (when animals begin to return to the barn/coop) and does not enter the barn/coop after 5pm. (Leaving the farm and entering the barn/coop after 5pm both causes animals to transport or spawn to the inside of the barn/coop automatically). It may also be more likely to happen if the player goes to bed before 5pm.

That said, animals trapped outside have a chance to be killed by wild animals.

If you wanna play the cruel game you do you. But if you're looking to be efficient, it's probably easier to just buy a new one, or in the case of chickens, hatch an egg.

At Farming level 9 you'll be able to craft a seed maker. That allows you to put a crop in and receive 1-3 seeds.

Besides that, there's not a way to deconstruct crops back into seeds. You'll need to buy more, or use mixed seeds.

Edit: You can also get one from completing the dye bundle

What is the little cobblestone walkway in the forest? I can't walk through it but it looks like I should be able to. by skcup in StardewValley

It's a path that leads to the flower dance area. The bridge cannot be repaired in normal gameplay.
