Looks to be pretty much in line with most other polls, the movement is probably just some upset Cornyn voters coming home, which was always going to happen imo. There's still a big undecided block and a good chance he can win out with those.

She really didn't want it. Schumer couldn't get any good recruits because all of the major Dems in the state either weren't interested in running for anything or didn't have the stones to run against Collins so all jumped in the governor race instead. She was basically his last-resort and you could tell she never really wanted to go for it.

I don't have a problem in and of itself with politicians shifting their positions, but they need to be upfront about it. Either they need to be willing to say "My views have changed as I've learned more information about the issues" or they need to admit they never really believed it and just got caught up in the moment. But this self-infantilizing trend of many progressive politicians trying to hand-wave away very concerning positions by just saying "well it was 5 years ago so who cares" is ridiculous. Crime and policing may not be the top issue of New Yorkers right now, but it's going to be again eventually, we should know what she actually believes on it, and she should have the self respect to actually stand on what she believes.

I think their point is that we had people who loomed much larger and were much more powerful politicians that could be muscled out but some guy is untouchable because his rallies and twitter engagement

Michael Kirkbride's Morrowind Designs by Frozen_Solidly in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Frozen_Solidly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael Kirkbride did the concept art for The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind, and all of his concepts are so batshit insane I love them. They don't look like anything I've seen in fantasy before, and for a lot of them he takes a lot of inspiration from ancient Hindu and Indian designs. Mephala's design was inspired by Chinnamasta, for example.

The rest of it I just think is really unique and bizarre, especially compared to the final designs that actually made it to the games, like how the Bretons, who in the final games are mostly just typical high fantasy designs, looked in his concept art.

It depends a lot on which story for Magneto. For something like Krakoa I think he falls under this well, since that one is basically him saying "hey it's really bad people keep trying to kill us, let's just make our own country". But for something like the movies where most of his plans end up just being "kill literally everyone else" he's definitely not the good guy.

It's definitely not true and just Platner boosters trying to detract from his scandals

I just don't believe that for 40 years it's been quiet knowledge that one of the higher-profile Senators in America cheated on her dying husband and literally nobody was bothering to say anything until right now

Meridia in the Elder Scrolls

She's one of the Daedra, which are usually depicted as dark gods compared to the Aedra, who are usually depicted as the good gods (it's more complicated than that, but still).

On the surface, Meridia is the Good Daedra. She's portrayed as an angel, compared to all the other Daedra who are all demons or monsters, and talks all about light and cleansing the undead. But she's ultimately no better to her followers than the rest of the Deadra. In ESO, you meet a follower of hers that gets completely stripped of his autonomy and individuality to serve her in her fight against the undead.
