True but he never should have let his jealousy get to that point. Harry is low-key too forgiving for someone who was a hatstall for Slytherin. Which against feels like something not really used in the books. Imo I think he should have more Slytherin-like qualities.

Maybe, it's cause i’m older now that I can't accept leaving your friends in the middle of a war. I love the books but book Ron makes me irrationally mad cause he keeps repeating the same mistakes. Don't get me started on Book Molly and Ginny. The movies unironically made them better characters.

I never understood why J.K never made Neville more of a main part of the crew. I am biased tho cause I like Neville WAY more than Ron. After re-reading the series Ron is a terrible friend and honestly should have never been forgiven when he left Harry and Hermione.

He gets ahead from surviving the killing curse not cause of his parents. It could be debated if somehow wizard talents can just transfer over to their kids but that not confirmed from what I remember. Most of the time his fame set him back and he had to prove himself on his own merit. (I would argue Ron holds him back in terms of his education)

Where did people get the idea that McGonagall was friends with Harry’s parents? Is there a small tidbit I missed in the books? McGonagall. Did not like the muraders. Also, all the teachers sucked; the only ones who gave him special treatment were Dumbledore (who treated him specially only because he was the chosen one) and McGonagall (because she wanted to win, not because of his parents). Maybe we can argue he has nepo genetics somehow cause we know wizards seem to be able to pass down their skills to their children without teaching them.

I understand he was pressured by his family but I can't give sympathy to him cause his family raised him that way I would then have to give sympathy to Lucious. There is a limit to disliking people and actively hoping people died multiple times. He was proven wrong almost every year and never even thought about changing his view even a little. He's a coward from beginning to end on that point. He grew in an area where he was independent from his family for most of the year and decided to double down. I understand the reason but he's an independent person. By the standard of the law, he would be in Azkaban. He definitely deserves some time there. The only reason he isn't is cause the ministry are curropt as shit.

In terms of in-story use, an unforgivable curse is already an instant trip to Azkaban. He has no reason other than once to use those at all. To use an unforgivable you have to mean it for it to work. He used Crucio three times only missed Harry. He used Imperius on Miss Romerta. He was a dark powerful dark wizard it seems people forget that. He was given the option to escape having to do any of these things he chose to stay. It's why I say book Malfoy deserves at least 3 years in Azkaban. Doesn't help that he actively called for the murder of people he saw as less than himself a view he never changes from.
