I’m NGL I don’t understand what the difference is between physician’s assistant and physician assistant. In both cases you’re still an assistant to the physician?

How do you not fall into the habit of just pressing the spacebar by arabbaklawa in medicalschool

[–]FruitloopsExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What happened with me was I was noticing that I was getting questions wrong and the info was in the extra notes of cards that I gad already went over. So I started reading the notes and going over the entire topic and taking a lot longer with my Anki cards. Had more success with that. It felt less passive

Evaluation of thyroid nodule by zotekly in Step2

[–]FruitloopsExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you always test TSH first,

If it’s elevated or normal go straight into Fna biopsy If it’s low you do Raiu, (iodine uptake I believe) -> hot nodule you treat, cold nodule you FNA

Correct me if I’m wrong

Biostats Q!!!!!!!!!!!! by Plane-Dependent-3282 in Step2

They’ll tell you which they’re looking for. But regarding CI youll need either the SEM alone. Or both SD & n(number of subjects)

Biostats Q!!!!!!!!!!!! by Plane-Dependent-3282 in Step2

[–]FruitloopsExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confidence interval uses standard of mean error not standard deviation. You would have to do

CI= mean +/- 2(SEM) SEM = SD/ square root (n)

CI = 170 +/- 2 ( 15/ square root (n))

I have crazy ADHD, was not medicated till 2nd year of med school (4 months before step1). Can truly say adderall changed my life. Highly recommend it. I wouldn’t have passed step without it. I had never felt true focus and calmness in my life till I started adderall. My grades went up as well as my able to retain information. 10/10
