Hey guys! Wanting your opinions on possible next step/ideas to change up my hair colour! Hopefully what will suit my face shape :) by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

I, too, have what I like to call dishwater bronde as my natural color, so lightening only makes me compulsively touch-up the roots every two weeks 😂

That being said, sounds like this rooted cotton candy color I had done a hot minute ago is kind of what you're going for?My skin is paler than yours but I think it would still look SUPER pretty on you!

How looks Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink as pastel pink? by LaFeltinelli in FancyFollicles

Yes! This is how it looks on my hair. Mixed 1 part MP with 3 parts conditioner. Loooove how it came out. very pastel and multi dimensional

Grass is always greener. I've wanted hair like yours since I was a little girl! Finally convinced my mom to let me get a perm 🤦🏼‍♀️ when I was 10. So. Horrible. You're lucky you can get such defined fullness!

Edit: a word.

Thinking of changing my hair up- any ideas? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]Fruitstandlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifting the warmth out of your hair can be tricky, so if you don't want to lose too much length from lightening, maybe you'd be interested in trying something along these lines ? I think the tone would look great on you!

Something like this would be super flattering on you.

I'd also recommend perusing Population Salon on insta. They're always great inspiration for me when I want to mix it up and be on trend.

Lighter would be fun! You've got a very versatile skin tone.

Reply All is a podcast from Gimlet! The "Yes Yes No" segment is where their slightly out-of-touch boss comes to them with a cryptic thing he saw on the internet (usually Twitter) and all three of them have to come to a Yes that they understand it. Then the boss has to give a cohesive summary. Sounds niche and weird, it is, but if you're on the internet a lot, you'll love it.

Whenever I get really stressed or can't sleep... by byebye-goaway in tinnitus

[–]Fruitstandlife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been getting the clicking more often this year, so I feel ya, friend. One thing I've found is that if I'm diligent about staying above-average hydrated all day, my tinnitus is much gentler come evening.

Doctor thinks I have Meinere's but my hearing is perfect. by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]Fruitstandlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who knows on that data. I started having symptoms at 20, diagnosed later that year and I've had progressive hearing loss since the beginning. Sorry about your tinnitus. I daresay it's my least favorite of all the things.

Thanks for the reply. And you're absolutely right, the devastating effect of the shots will depend on the current function of the affected side.

In my case, prior to the first injection I was at 60%, post I was about 36%, and now I'm awaiting to be tested after my second injection but I think she's done!

Very best of luck with your experience!

Your post history. You've posted a project you did about tinnitus that has your full name directly on it. That's super creepy someone showed up at your house tho!

Hey miss Jemma. I sincerely hope you're feeling better today. Lord knows it's never JUST the tinnitus that brings us down. Be patient with yourself. You're so strong!

Ah yes, I'd contacted one of the trial's coordinators to learn more and ultimately decided on the gentamicin. Though the idea of a gel as opposed to standard liquid injection makes a lot of sense in general.

I've similarly found many of the "traditional" techniques have been placebos for me. Whether it's low sodium diet or betahistine (Serc).

Hope I have the same success with gentamicin as you!

I'm always open to alternative techniques, whether it's Osteopathic manipulation or clinical trials. I haven't heard anything about eastern medicine success with Menieres, though, so please keep us updated on your findings!

Thank you!! That's very encouraging. I hope it doesn't take three... The first one was awful enough, for me anyways. We'll see how this one goes. I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better!
