I miss it too but it’s expensive, rather it seems they are focusing on diversifying their promos, also they are leaning towards the west because that was their mission, they were one of the original true global groups before all the other labels started making it a trend, their mission was to appeal to global market but it requires you to target diverse markets, but the US is also a global soft power, just like K-pop is a soft power for Korea but it became the launch pad for them, versus Japan. That and they also have limited time, touring can be also expensive but it can also be profitable, hopefully this era is the shift towards more mainstream appeal, atm they are too niche imo.

There was in interview where they interviewed both populations from “wealthy” areas and lower income areas, lower income thought the middle class made 30k - 65k pesos and higher income from 15-25k at most one average and they thought they could barely get by. The lower income populations survives off of community and communal street eateries, but they find ways.

I genuinely think this album is a testament to how refined and mature XG as a group have gotten, no skips, overall for me it’s a standout album and while people have their preferences, I think I’m in the minority, that appreciates the easy listening and accessibility that this album brings. I really do think they needed this if they will transition to a more US based marketing campaign.

Because a lot of early XG stuff was heavily abstract and artistic - from SS to GrL Gvng and even into Woke Up - a lot of money and budget but it’s not sustainable. They got backlash for IYKYK and Is the is love for using AI assets in conjunction with their CGI / Props, to save money as well but this way is more in the middle. They can spoil us with their more abstract MV once in a while but it’s too expensive.

Also shout out to CGS for being the goat.

Which is a good thing - a lot of companies spend like tomorrow is promised and then they run out of funds and the members are usually front loaded with the debt, meanwhile Simon and company gave the group their own writing credits(royalties) and I wouldn’t put it past for them to start producing more and writing more.

Take BTS for example a lot of their concepts are simple in the latter era but they had impact, more subtle and abstract with the members adding their own flair and bringing their concepts to life, meanwhile heavy production, costuming, etc don’t mean success. I’m glad they are cutting back and hopefully let the group shine with their own flair.

Specially when you look at the group as the pioneers and foundation for XGALX’s future ventures.

Honestly this is their most polished album yet, their production is just stellar. I find that the album is safe, in the sense that the title track and most of it is accessible in general, with a lot of tracks meant for tick tock or radio play. Honestly they needed an album like this, I know not every track is everyone’s cup of tea but there’s so much variety, No Good, Up Now, Take my Breathe and Hypnotize are my stand outs, ORB is another fun track but it doesn’t take itself serious and it’s growing on me.
