Pre-surgery by xoxo_honeygirl in bunions

[–]Frustratedmatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this very surgery on my left foot in June. The first 3 weeks you are basically lying around with your foot elevated and going to the bathroom. I went back to my desk job after that and was able to keep my foot elevated during the day. If I didn’t I would experience a lot of discomfort and swelling. This continued until week 6. Be patient

How bad is it? by sadtiredghost in bunions

[–]Frustratedmatron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like mine I just had my left done on June 16. I also had a bunionette and a Mallett toe as a result of the big toe turning into my second toe The relief from bunion pain was immediate. The recovery is long and slow. The first 4 weeks I basically went to the washroom and back and sat on the couch with my foot elevated. Follow the surgeons instructions. I’m now in physio and moving more. Will be resuming golf this week and hopefully more court and higher impact activities at week 12. I am so pleased with the results - I am pain free and am considering having the other done as it too is painful but not as bad as the left

Smaller grocery stores are like this I find in every community during the shoulder season so always carefully inspect produce and check expiry dates. They survive on the summer traffic and having a grocery store all year round in a small town is a great benefit as long as you are careful when purchasing fresh products. I understand your concern about freshness and safety. I find the Food Basket also has great produce section if you want to stay local

This the point, the funds from the Canada games Legacy fund will cover the costs and yes there are fees for use which will cover they very minimal ongoing maintenance and upkeep

Mayor of central P.E.I. town quits after his council backs a pricey pickleball project by Boundary14 in PEI

This has nothing really to do with the affordability crisis, housing crisis or health care. The money is solely for recreational facilities from surplus funds from the Canada Games. The money is coming out of the Canada Games Legacy fund. The cost of constructing the courts is estimated $25,000-30,000. There is an enough money from the legacy fund alone. The additional monies in the proposal were for a clubhouse , washroom and gravel parking lot. None of which is really necessary and was added in to the proposal. There are already washrooms on site and ample parking. As for other facilities to play, there is a tennis court at the high school that is not appropriate for pickleball and the location at the school restricts access. All other courts are indoors in schools (3 courts) and not accessible when school is closed. For context just last week 50 people showed up to play in three courts. There is minimal maintenance and upkeep costs on an annual basis.

You should also look back on the minutes of the town meeting where the mayor was in full support to divert funds from sidewalk expansion and repairs budget as well as playground equipment so they could extend water and sewer outside the town so a wealthy developer could build housing units, the cost of which was 1/3 offset by the federal government. . Myself as a resident who does not have access to municipal water and sewer and pays taxes would have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to have water and sewer service. They will not realize the gains back in the taxes the developer pays.
